Eli walked up behind the other ODST "What my fellow ODST said, whatever you Spartans go through would probably grind me into the dust. Speaking of, Fellow ODST, I'm Sgt. Eli Nathaniel Anderson, I was just transferred here before this all happened, you?" Eli offered the other ODST his hand.

"What my fellow ODST said, whatever you Spartans go through would probably grind me into the dust. Speaking of, Fellow ODST, I'm Sgt. Eli Nathaniel Anderson, I was just transferred here before this all happened, you?" A man named Eli asked as he came up behind Everett, he turned to meet the man who was holding out his hand, and Everett returned the gesture.

"Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan, 7th Shock Troops Battalion, eight years in the ODST. I was transferred here a couple of days before we were making the jump to Reach. Well, I'm glad that there are some more Helljumpers aboard. So, Eli, what do you make of our current situation? We were just discussing before you joined us."

Crown and her squad had finished gearing up and were now ready for deployment whenever the order was given. Her HUD said that there was enough for a handful of shots before the Galileo would need to be recharged. A pity, the thing was more powerful than most ship mounted weapons, but had that damn battery pack that drained so quickly. Not that she was going to complain anymore than that, the thing was too good to leave behind for her set-up and squad composition.

"We were just discussing before you joined us."

The squad moseyed over to where a few other ODST marines were situated, talking about something. There really wasn't much to discuss, but these guys looked like they'd just been thawed, and she'd been in the freezer a few times before to know about that experience. Maybe with this new tech, if Leppy was to be believed, they'd be a thing of the past. She was a soldier, he was one of the smartest guys she'd ever met, and would've been shoved into intelligence years ago if he hadn't proven himself to be completely useless behind a desk.

"Lieutenant Sierra Crown, Sergeant. Two years ODST, got a transfer after a Scarab incident and I've been here since. As for what we're doing here, something about a weird jump in our drive got us here. There's more races on a single colony than in the entirety of the Covenant, from what me and my squad could gather, there's still humans, but then there's the guys looking like they've got steel for skin, that's the Turians, big military nuts apparently, and the guys with the Jackel build? Salarians, supposed to be pretty smart and,"She glanced at Chagerben, who had begun again making eyes at one of them,"Nevermind. Last you've got the blue squid-heads, Asari, all-female race, kinda weird if you ask me."

Her face scrunched up as she recalled the Geth aboard,"Oh, and there's also these robot guys around, they creep the hell out of me, supposed to be true AI, and they don't have a time limit before they go pitooey. There's one around here that came on board as soon as we got here, calls himself Alpha. I guess he's their leader or something?"

Leppy interrupted before she could continue,"Lt, the Geth are suppos' to be connected at all times, so there's some kind of individual in there, bud' if you talk to one of 'em, you're talking to all of 'em, or sommat, the files on the Citadel weren't that clear 'boud it. The only sure thing is that they jus' got out of a war with their Creators a few months ago that's been going on for centuries. Sure glad that didn't happen with the Covs."

"Thanks Leppy. So Sergeant, what's your story? I guess I should probably ask if your squad's out of the freeze too yet? We could always use another sniper, Gaffer here's got the highest marks the academy saw in five years before the Chief went missing and the War pretty much ended. Got shipped off just in time to arrive for the memorial the Admiral had in Africa, so he's still completely green, no combat experience beyond simulations, and we can't exactly get him up to speed here, so another man'd be great. You too, Anderson."

SSG Murphy

Many would call him old-fashioned, but Murphy still aimed with a red dot sight, rather than any kind of HUD. The targets would appear and we would double tap them with deadly accuracy. Mag changes, weapon transitions, position drills, all done with the smooth nature of a professional soldier.

After finishing and putting his empty magazines back in his chest rig, Murphy wandered over to a group of ODSTs off the range. He recognized Lt. Crown, but there were some who had obviously just woken from cryosleep.

"How's it going LT?" He said as he walked up. "Looks like these kids haven't even thawed out yet."

Murphy had to laugh at the looks the other Marines were giving him. He stuck out like a sore thumb among all of the neatly pressed uniforms in his brown t-shirt, chest rig, and tactical pants. His ballcap didn't help matters at all, and to top it all of, front and center of his chest rig was a smiley face patch. The patch matched the almost permanent grin on Murphy's face, one that he was wearing now.

"Staff Sergeant Murphy" He said, introducing himself to the group, "I'm not actually here." He turned to the Spartans. He wished that he had a marker to draw a smiley face on their armor.

Everett listened with interest as Lt. Crown began explaining the various races that made up the collective Citadel Races, each one as different as the last. She was then interupted by a man called Leppy, who was obviously more a technical person than combat, but all skills were necessary; explain about some robots called Geth, who were AI, but lacked a time limit before descending into rampancy.

"So Sergeant, what's your story? I guess I should probably ask if your squad's out of the freeze too yet?" Lt. Crown then asked him.

"Well, actually-" Everett began to say, before they was interrupted by a man.

"How's it going LT?" He said as he walked up. "Looks like these kids haven't even thawed out yet." He then added with a smirk on his face. Everett decided to keep his calm during the exchange.

"Staff Sergeant Murphy." He said, introducing himself to the group.

"Well, hello Murphy, seems like we have quite a few Helljumpers with us for this mission. That'll certainly give whoever is attacking this colony a shock. Anyway, to answer your question Lieutenant, I'm the only one of my squadron that was brought on board the Broken Destiny; the others were transferred to different operations to help fill positions that were needed, although we still managed to keep in contact with one another every now and then." He said before facing Murphy, holding out a hand in the process.

"Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan, 7th Shock Troops Battalion, eight years ODST."

Lieutenant Kenneth Senshi

Kenneth had followed Quintus down to the firing range, meeting all sorts of new faces, different types of aliens and ever super human soldiers. Kenneth had mixed feelings about the whole ideal though.

Super human or not, if they become cocky... He thought, practicing his shooting. With deep concentration, he easily fired shot after shot at the targets, body shots and head shots.

Eli nodded to Everett "I'm a new transfer, I don't have a squad. Some General's son got mine." Eli shrugged "I've got a good 12 years in the ODST. I managed to get into Special-Ops pretty early on, met an ODST and volunteered. I may not be able to get SPARTAN, but I can try as hard as I can to make you guys look lazy regardless." Eli gave them a friendly smirk

SSG Murphy

Everett held his hand out to Murphy, though it did look like he was a bit annoyed with his presence.

"Staff Sergeant Everett Kerrigan, 7th Shock Troops Battalion, eight years ODST."

Murphy shook his hand. "Well, I guess I won't have to worry about you shooting me in the ass because your green."

"I'm a new transfer, I don't have a squad. Some General's son got mine." Eli shrugged "I've got a good 12 years in the ODST. I managed to get into Special-Ops pretty early on, met an ODST and volunteered. I may not be able to get SPARTAN, but I can try as hard as I can to make you guys look lazy regardless."

He rocked back a bit on his heels. "There's nothing like shitty places full of people trying to kill you, is there?"

Murphy looked over and saw Mee walking off the range. He excused himself from the group of ODSTs and walked up to her.

"Hey Mee! How much do you know about Banshees?"

?Good that we have so many ODSTs here, I assume we will probably drop in. Wouldn?t be an option really if we just only had regular marines. Granted though the option will probably only be allowed depending on what the situation is.? Jastis spoke to the ODST?s.

Fastina nar Nushia

After the chat with the ?Spartan? she broke off from her group of friends. She was intrigued by this UNSC he spoke of and wished to learn more. He told them a lot but only of one war, not what their society is like or anything. She needed to find a way on that ship and have permission. From what she could tell there was no Quarian?s assigned to the ship and she was a civilian. No way could she sign up as an engineer, she was a Quarian but a horrible inept one at technology.

She was a good fighter? Even has some Biotics. One of the few handfuls of Quarian?s who actually have them and survived. Going on a hunch she went to the dock where they originally got off from. Heading there after a bit she saw some workers who were putting large amounts of materials onto a cargo ship. Fastina went up to one of the workers. ?Are you bringing this to that new ship??

The worker just nodded. ?Yup, apparently it?s to build an upgrade, GARDIAN system, to their ship.?

Seeing no other choice when they looked away she hopped into the cargo along with the materials.

Sarah listened a bit "well, Sir, Sargent" the 'Sargent' directed to Everett "i am going to go put my self through some unpleasantness for awhile" she said referring to the VR training room and with a lite smirk "so if anybody needs me that's where I'll be" putting her helmet back on and heading out the door

Aland James stood by his parade of warthogs, resting his back on one of the proud vehicle's viewscreens. His short thick arms slick and covered in grazes and scratches. He was hot, drenched in sweat and spattered with oil; this didn't stop him from being content though, as he had now fixed most of the warthogs, all of the tanks and cobbled together some mongooses from broken ones

Then the "Geth" had started appearing in his repair bay, the six foot mechanical creatures skulking around on long legs of metal. They would have been rather sneaky, if not for the large light-bulbs that were mounted on their heads.

He snarled at them whenever they had approached, or even looked at one of the vehicles that he was repairing. These... things he didn't trust, and would only trust them as far as he could throw up pickled brute testicles.... which was actually quite a long way.

Still, he wasn't about to let any of them near the vehicles that he had spent sweat and blood on repairing.

Holy Shit this RP is alive again! I thought it was only me and Davidson that actually posted here anymore!

I had pretty much given up.

Welcome to all the new members, I hope we have many adventures together.

Mee was bored, she heard the spartan mention something about a VR and was curious. She decided it would be interesting to see what it was, so she cought up to them. "Greetings Spartans. I heard something about a VR, might i ask what it is you speak of?" she asked curiously.

Luna kept pouring rounds down the range, out performing quite a few there. She was content after that little challenge, so it wouldn't be an issue to spend some more time there. She needed to tighten her formations.

He wasn?t surprised she asked him that, after hall he had read her dossier. ?Sarah, you?re a Spartan, and at the moment with the rise of insurrectionist activity, there was a high chance of insurrectionist trying to undermine the Reach Renewal Operation or the RRO. We needed everyone, and with you being one of the relatively new Spartan-IV have, thought it would be good for you. Obviously you have had years of training but with so many Spartan?s being stretched thin over the Orion Arms, we didn?t want to take any chances so that?s why you were also assigned. Also because they wanted me to evaluate you on things such as working with aliens from the Covenant. Chances are in the future you may have to work with them. I understand your feelings towards them; I fought them for the whole 27 years. It?s hard for me to also look at them like allies.?

But then turned around as he heard the Sangheili ask: ?Greeting Spartans. I heard something about a VR; might I ask what it is you speak of??

Jastis responded to the Sangheili. ?It?s Virtual Reality, as you probably guessed from the initial. Officially it?s called the Advanced Combat Deck; basically it can simulate environments and virtual enemies. It?s very advanced, barely can tell the difference between it and reality at times. Which has caused some trouble in the past but after a couple of times you realize it?s all fake.?

Alan was confused, he had wandered up to the VR range and found it buzzing with activity. In the corner was the female elite SGT. Murphy.... or, wait, was she Mee? The one that he had partaken in a shoot-out with a awhile back. Or was it Paynor or....

Alan had no idea.

Standing at the range with a pistol in her hand was Jastis, the freaky blue alien.... or wait, was that Luna? Or Fastina?

Alan was so confused.

Ignore this post story-wise, just a bit of lulz

"i see" Sarah started, she's expected as much "I'll try not to let you down, no promises though that was a hang up of dads, 'never make a promise unless your sure you can keep it' and right now ... i don't if i can" she said be fore turning to the elite as Jastis explained the VR room

she however remained silent, though there was a noticeable tension in the air about her

Mee nodded at the explanation. She understood what he meant and wanted to try it for herself. "Would it be possible for me to join you two in there? I know i may not be as big and bulky as a male sangheili, but i am all the more skilled." She asked him, then noticed the other spartan had faced her as well.

"I see you have an energy sword, do you have any proper training with it? if not, i would gladly train you with it." She said with about as much of a smile as an elite could muster.

Jastis thought about it for a moment and then decided. ?Alright you may join us. Never seen a female Sangheili in combat so this should be interesting.?

"in answer to your question, no i haven't been trained how to use it" Sarah said as the resumed they're way to the VR " ... 'reasons'... have prevented me from pursuing a formal introduction to the weapon" she said trying to keep the 'Covenant hating *****' tone down "so i've been making it up as i go" she paused a moment "which hasn't been 'very far' since i got it ..."
