Pornography?

RPG?

Hyper-realistic?

Castro?

Directly selling to children?

These people CLEARLY haven't even fucking played the game. It's not porn, it's not an RPG, it's not realistic and it's not Castro.

I can't even stand Black Ops, but people calling it out without even playing it gets my goat.

So is the portrait of the Fall of Napoleon something that we should be protecting our children from? Should video games depicting Black Friday and the Beaches of Normandy be banned? I understand that war games are popular, so they will get pointed at, but how is this any different than recreating other battles. People need to start looking at these as situations from an artistic angle, instead of a commercial angle.

And once again, the knee jerks who are grossly exagerating their numbers and power see fit to boycott another game that looked at them funny.

Though, this is kinda funny in a sense that they're boycotting it. Seeing as they probably wouldn't buy it in the first place, that's like blind people boycotting a movie.

Erm....I hope this group aren't America as it's a well known joke about how many times America has tried to kill the bastard and failed. You even fail in the bloody game, not surprising considering you do tear apart a town on your way to him. Castro's assaination attempts make for good reading, I particularly like the poisioned cigars and the booby trapped stage attempts...

Besides, it was obvious before the game came out, all you needed to do was look at a achivement list. Oh sorry, I forget, these people don't give a shit about the game until release day, by which time nothing can be done. These numbnuts are so slow on the uptake they even missed the launch. Treyarch have pocketed the money from everyone who was intrested, they win. Just goes to show how much repect is given to the gaming industry.

I went to the site of this organization and read their "printable form letter" for people to protest this game with. First, they say that if it had been about the assassination of a U.S. president than the creator would be arrested and prosecuted. WHAT? How many examples in American media (games/tv/film) have examples proving the opposite. Then,of course, there is that thing called the bill of rights which prevents it. Also, who cares about killing Castro? I mean, anymore than any other person. Thousands of games come out all of the time where we kill others. Why does no one get upset over house-mom #5 in Fallout or Child #908 in GTA? Personally, my life is worth at least as much as Castro's, so that being said the only outrage here isn't the violence, etc. etc. Its the politics. And politics, they can shove up their ass.

This article reminds me I need to go buy Black Ops today. Thanks for reminding me to get it, League of Justice!

On topic: I cannot find a witty response, honestly. So I'll just smile and tilt my head in slight confusion.

Popular things are controversial, war is controversial, videogames are controversial.

This is a popular video game about war......

Get over it people, if it offends you don't play it, but you have no right to say we can't.

Also, they're claiming it's pornography? WTF!?

Is it wrong that I find it funny that Germany and Japan censor this one and not the Call of Duties in WW2?

OT: I know I have been beaten to the punch on this but,

"WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!!"

Getting old real fast.

alright let's look up the definition of pornography
Pornography or porn is the portrayal of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual excitement and erotic satisfaction.

hmmm I never heard anyone playing CoD:BO just to get aroused

I'd love to see a game get made where you get to kill American Presidents...

Then we'd REALLY see if people thought it was 'just a game'
Blops does insinuate that <spoiler=SPOILERRRRRRRR> Mason is the one to score a headshot on Mr Kennedy. will that do?

That's it, I'm calling shenanigans on this one.

People have got to shut the fuck up and stop talking about things the know nothing of. It's really getting to me these days when people who have no idea what they're talking about start running their mouths because they saw something that they're pretty sure they don't agree with, and naturally, they're using the old fallback of 'THINK OF THE CHILDREN!' as their argument, dispite there being an absolute minority of kids who are bought games such as CoD.

Think about it, whenever you go onto a server and you hear a squeaky voiced little bastard running his mouth whenever he stumbles into a kill streak, you will get sick of him fast and complain to your mates how "There's only kids online these days", forgetting the 14 other players on the server who are almost certainly the same or similar age as you are.

I just... I mean.. God. I sincerely hope all of these idiots die in a horrible, bloddy, gory, mess. All of them. If you don't want your children exposed to graphic content in games, THEN DON'T BUY THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! The game has an M rating, for god's sake! The kid cant buy the game unless a parent is with him, AND the parent has to openly state their kid can buy the game (thats how it works at my Gamestop, at least). If you're afraid of your kid seeing blood and guts, LOOK AT THE ESRB RATING YOU FREAKING RETARD!!! It says "Blood and Gore" in big, bold letters in the corner of the case! For the love of god, all of these protesters need to get a freaking clue and shut up, or die. End rant.

So two things, one this has already been done in the Godfather 2 video game where you attempt to kill Castro and second who gives two shits about Castro anyway I mean he's not the kind of guy you would think many people would get upset about dieing in REAL life.

*Yawn* Is it the stupid controversy time of year again?

I've seriously stopped being bothered by this kind of crap. People will be idiots no matter what anyone does.

TBF, and playing Devil's Advocate here, this game is gun-porn. What better money shot than pulling off something the Army couldn't do in 60(?) years.

So yeah, understandable; certainly, disrespectful; very.

But then...it's been done before.

The above image made this topic for me.

Anyway, predictable controversy outcry was predictable. Let's all just just keep walking, shall we?
