Why would an organization called "Alliance for Global Justice" be more concerned with an assassination attempt in a video game when there's still real violence going on in the world? To be fair the scene is rather obsessive, "Hey look you killed Castro, now look at the blood! LOOK AT IT!" However, I fail to see how the failed assassination of a tyrannical dictator is the same as pornography.
Also, why does a video game take priority over something like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaqQjIzIbiY]?

"Video games cause violence"

"GAAH! How dare you say that games make me violent or influence me! I want to hurt you for voicing your opinions and I want to do it with fantasy weapons!"
Hey, I could have gone with this:

Besides, the first one his actually a cestus, a weapon used by the romans.

I think I'll just leave this here

Yeah, that sounds about right. You just got to love the way people rage about kids playing games that AREN'T MEANT FOR KIDS. If we play games that have an age rating above our own age, then either A: we're 'mature' enough to deal with the content, and our parents consent to that. Or someone, somewhere is doing something awfully awfully wrong.

You get to kill thousands of 'people' in that game and they got mad just because of that particular NPC.. Nobody cared when Hitler got shot in the face repeatedly in 'Inglourious Basterds'. EA must be happy ,any publicity is good publicity and its free.

You don't even kill Castro, you just try to. And who hasn't secretly wanted to bash Castro's face into a brick and then cool it off with Liquid Nitrogen?

1. Castro is a dictator. Killing him then probably wouldn't have been a bad thing. Ever heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis, AFGJ?
2. It's not pornography if there is no sex in it. Captain Obvious could tell you that!
3. If it's being sold to children, the idiot has been fired, and the game has been taken back by their parents. Danger averted.
4. Just... no.

Looking at Ohio's laws, there is no pornography law. Only a code referring to the obscene material and its distribution to minors.
(A) No person, with knowledge of its character or content, shall recklessly do any of the following:

(1) Directly sell, deliver, furnish, disseminate, provide, exhibit, rent, or present to a juvenile, a group of juveniles, a law enforcement officer posing as a juvenile, or a group of law enforcement officers posing as juveniles any material or performance that is obscene or harmful to juveniles;

WELL, there's the clause that they could possibly say is actionable in court of law. HOWEVER, if someone looks down the list, defenses to this claim INCLUDE!

1) The defendant is the parent, guardian, or spouse of the juvenile involved.

(2) The juvenile involved, at the time of the conduct in question, was accompanied by the juvenile?s parent or guardian who, with knowledge of its character, consented to the material or performance being furnished or presented to the juvenile.

(3) The juvenile exhibited to the defendant or to the defendant?s agent or employee a draft card, driver?s license, birth record, marriage license, or other official or apparently official document purporting to show that the juvenile was eighteen years of age or over or married, and the person to whom that document was exhibited did not otherwise have reasonable cause to believe that the juvenile was under the age of eighteen and unmarried.

If you don't want to read all that it basically states, there was a parent with the juvenile or the juvinile presented a license to prove that he was over 18 so the store had reasonable belief to believe he was over 18, although in reality they may be not (also known as the i have a fake id clause)

although i intend to look into other state laws to see a comparison but my belief in the matter is that THEY BE CRAAAAZY. yea, reasonable for Cuba to get a little red over the level but this other group is going waaay over the boundary. This will all blow over like last years airport phenomenon.

You know, for a Group called "Alliance For Global Justice", you think they'd be more supportive of this game, what with Castro firstly causing a Civil War, then taking complete control over the country, then letting his people starve and rot while he and his goonies live the big life. Wouldn't it have been just to shoot Hitler in the face if you could? Apparently, not according to the "AFGJ".

OT: I don't honestly care for Call of Duty Games. But I definitely know this boycott will fail.

CoD:BO is a RPG now, it seems. When do you "level up" in Black Ops, exactly?

And for the last time, it's not meant for children.

This!

Here's a suggestion ... instead of sending the information to gamestores that they're not supposed to sell the game, let's go as gamers to pta meetings and tell them to do better!

Do kids even know who Fidel Castro WAS? Black ops is probably teaching children MORE about history than they've learned in ALL their years of schooling in our "American education system."

Better start burning ALL of the Tom Clancy novels from now on... we don't want to sell violent, geopolitical literary porn right?

This stuff pisses me off... but you think this is bad? Oh wait, just WAIT till parent see the new Harry Potter video game...
it's like Gears of War, with spells and dementors.

But hey again, maybe you can shed some light as to why they would compare Killing Castro almost 50 years ago is the same as porn? Maybe I'm missing a crucial point or maybe it's supposed to be retarded.
Pornography has a secondary meaning as a slur. It implies a lack of merit and a purpose only to be titillating to a base urge. I think a definition would be something like "a gratuitous and graphic representation of something designed only to provide titillation."
If I had a hat, I would take off for you sir. That's actually pretty smart thanks :)
