Waves of zombies are a popular wish.Aluathay said:I would love to see a mode were you make a barricade then waves of zombies came at you, the point is seeing how long you can survive the longer the more points. Different types of multiplayer would be great like lets say something like GMOD zombies!
I just noticed the person above me said waves to....
Pretty much what i was thinking - having the whole city open to you instead of just a few alleys. Give the player infected some good ambush spotsRednog said:More Guns/Weapons.
Make it more tactical/ less linear. I think it would be cool if they just spawned you randomly in a city and you had to get to X random point and the computer would randomly lock out streets etc and it was up to the players to find a way to get to the point. I somewhat liked how in Resident Evil you had to pick doors or have people boost you to certain places.
Less Smokers - I cannot tell you how much bs smokers are in versus mode, people getting pulled off roofs etc.
Apparently Valve toyed with this idea, but after some play-testing decided that having zombies around every corner was tense enough without having to figure out where the hell you're supposed to go. And I'm inclined to agree that there's nothing wrong with it being linear as long as it isn't boring.johnman said:Pretty much what i was thinking - having the whole city open to you instead of just a few alleys. You realize you're not meant to win in versus, don't you? If you listen to the developer comentary, they say they originaly had versus as the only mode, but had to make concessions for people who wanted to actually finish the campaigns, but those made it no fun for the infected players. So they split campaign mode off from versus, and made versus a lot harder on the survivors, in order to make it fun to play as the infected.Rednog said:Less Smokers - I cannot tell you how much bs smokers are in versus mode, people getting pulled off roofs etc.
I humbly disagree. The smoker is great fun to play as for me, even more fun than the tank. Though Boomer still takes the spotlight for my favourite special infected.stubbmann said:EDIT: And I agree with the smoker comment, but for a different reason: smokers just aren't fun to play as.
I'm not sure if that's really awesome or really stupid.tortured3679 said:Character customization, more weapons, a story *plz*, more campaigns, more weapons, and maybe like a nazi zombie mode from CoDWaW idk how it work but it be cool.... also get some weapons from TF2?
I know you're not supposed to win in VS mode, but a player smoker being able to drag a player off things ruins the experience because unless you abandon that player you have to redo a chunk of area and will most likely get stuck there.Bling Cat said:You realize you're not meant to win in versus, don't you? It's actually hard. But not that hard.orannis62 said:Anyway, I just got L4D yesterday (birthday ftw), and I've still only played No Mercy, but I think the game is perfect the way it is. I mean, any game on XBL where you can play a match with any random group of people and actually be forced to work together is a heaven send; the people I met on No Mercy are now on my friends list just so we can do the other campaigns together. But I have to ask; is the end of No Mercy supposed to be so hard? I mean, we were all playing on normal and lost about 50 times before we switched to easy and won on our 10th attempt, and even then only 2 of us survived. Are we just n00bs, or is it actually really hard?
