Give them a chance people. They made (or were involved in making) some great games in the past, what's to say they can't do so again?
Look at EA. For a time they realised such tripe and had some of the worst policies for development, were hit hard by accusations of poor working conditions and we're knocked off the top spot by about every other up and coming label.
Then they released Dead Space, Bad Company, Mirrors Edge and a host of other games. Yes some of them didn't quite get it right, but it showed a change for EA. They are releasing some pretty damn good games annually now and are no longer considered the worst in the industry (activision seems to be the new EA and are due a crash).
All it takes is one good Star Wars/Indiana/Original title to turn around peoples expectations of Lucasarts (and boost their morale). As long as the company doesn't sink, it's inevitable.
That sounds like you believe LucasArts doesn't think they have only one IP.

EA turned around by focusing on new or forgotten franchises (instead of focusing only in the annual FIFA and Madden) and providing an environment were new ideas could grow: Rock Band, Dead Space, Bad Company, Burnout or Mass Effect are all investments that payed off later.

LucasArts doesn't have that kind of vision. I don't care how strong their property is; until they can prove they can create something without bright sticks in it, I won't take them seriously as a publisher.

Lucus Arts would have a more easier time trying to stop the Earth from Rotating, then trying to please the fans.

Make BF3, for sure. And maybe a game like Force Unleashed gameplay-wise (I don't care what the rest of you say, I loved it), but not a sequel. The series is done, in my opinion.

Or you could make a KOTOR 3... either way... Or another Jedi Academy... lotta potential here, you see.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with that, Lucasarts!

"The company hasn't always succeded" <- What a joke

But hey, it looks like they've realized this and are looking to change.

So I'm looking forward to the new games they pour out.

Does this mean they'll try and make new IPs instead of exclusively Star Wars franchise? Because I think KOTOR was the last time I was excited to be playing a Star Wars game...

You know what Star Wars really needs? Not more games, tv series and models but a fucking REBOOT. Throw away the convoluted, retarded, broken plot and take a new stab at it with decent writers, new, strong generation-defining characters and a visionary re-imagining of the worlds, technologies and peoples of an entire galaxy.

BSG make a very compelling series when it rebooted, just imagine what Star Wars could do... honestly, all the films are just bad by any sort of standards nowadays; the material is old, the acting generally poor (especially in the prequels), the effects hopelessly dated, the technology and weapons laughable. And yet the brand has so much potential. DO SOMETHING WITH IT!

Oh, and it REALLY needs to get over fucking Tatooine - I mean seriously, it's like it's the fucking main character the way it pops up in EVERY medium :/

So Battlefront 3 is a go?
...if you'll pardon the pun.
What pun?
Oh wasn't there one? I'm sorry.

OT: Me wants Jedi Knight series back. Preferably merely published rather than developed by LucasArts and preferably with everyone at LA being told to fuck themselves with a rusty iron pipe every time they try to utter the word "rush"

Meegan didn't say what kind of genres it would put these upcoming games in, but one of them better be an X-Wing or Tie Fighter [http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-X-Wing-Collector-Pc/dp/B00002SV6D/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1307034644&sr=8-15] flight-sim reboot. Seriously, how long have we been waiting for one of those?
THIS. THIS THIS THIS. I've been wating for a remake since windows 98 when the DOS box in windows broke this game.

Did anyone else's bullshit detector just go off?

EDIT: Oh, LucasArts, does this mean we get a Republic Commando 2?

You know while there is this attitude of make it better I have a suggestion: Give all the money you make to real game developers, let them create whatever game(s) they want, and quietly disappear. That will earn my forgiveness LucasArts.

Better late than never I suppose, but most (if not all) of the developers that made LucasArts a top notch developer were let go ages ago.

How about publishing a game by Double Fine called Grim Fandango 2? I'd forgive all your sins for that.

But barring that, Tie Fighter 2, Republic/Imperial Commando 2, and Battlefront 3.

OK, start with making Jedi Knight 4. And make it like Jedi Knight 2 and not like 3.
I'd love that, but it'd take some hard work coming up with a way to get Kyle Katarn back into action. Maybe remake the original Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight? It's one of my all-time favorite games, but jeez, is it ugly.
There is a bunch of mods out for it that make the graphics much prettier.

The only way the'll stop disappointing me is if they got back to making adventure games. *Sigh* Yeah, I know I'm being delusional.

Unreal Engine 3? The cynic in me thinks Commandos reboot and focusing on the Clone Wars show. The optimist in me says Battlefront 3!

I still want my KotOR 3...but I would rather live without that game then get a shitty one so I guess you're doing fine Lucas-Arts.
