I wonder who's more stupid, him for publicly announcing is every action in the middle of a hostage situation which he initiated, or people publicly commenting on his Facebook page for lulz even though he's a violent gang member and dangerous criminal who probably has a lot of "connections".

I mean, obviously him, but I wouldn't comment on his page with such mocking jollity knowing what this guy has done and is capable of unless I knew I was anonymous.

Hey I live in Utah. I can remember watching this live on the news while it was happening. I somehow knew it was going to end up here.

Officer Jenkins, Marshal Davis and 4 others liked this!'

Seriously, this amazes me so greatly xD I hope i see a bank robbery on facebook next x3
God, the possibilities are endless. Imagine using smartphones on FB:

Joe Bloggs - 'I've got the cash, coming out tha bak now, u ready?'

>Tim Smith - 'I'm bringing round my van now, the rest of the boys are in it too.'

>>Sergeant Jones - 'Ditto'

I can't believe they're only considering charging the people who aided him on facebook. I say, get the facebook info, and if it is private get the facebook URL, go to 4Chan (I'm certain some of them aren't busy) and let the know, 'hey these people were aiding a man who took a person hostage at gunpoint, think you can help out?' 4Chan might be trolls of the internet and all, but at least they don't like scum.

i kid

but seriously, the police have names and faces. Nothing is dumber than aiding a criminal and having a picture of your face and your name right next to it.

Thanks to both of you a kinda funny story has just been made extreemly funny. Thank you very much

O.T: That facebook page became the biggest trolling festival ive ever seen, half the comments wernt even on the origional post, they were just trying to disprove religion and for racial steriotypes. Its like the trolls came with a list of pre-made ways to annoy people and shot them all off with no structure or sence.

The least they could have co-ordinated the trolling a little better, its a mess to read

Ah, Facebook, what won't end up on you at some point in this journey known as life, I wonder?

While this guy clearly is a criminal and a danger to the people around him in this situation, I can't help but be slightly amused by whatever thought pattern brought him to concern himself with his facebook status while he was the epicenter of a hostage situation..

You should read his Facebook wall. Everyone is saying how only God can judge him. What a bunch of morons. I bet if someone did to them what he did to that girl it would be a whole different story. Bunch of religious nuts and their double standards.

I think Escapist and other new sites should not be giving out links to the guys account.

Yes, he did something really really stupid. But the man has family and friends, many of which begged him to do the right thing. Now, while he's in critical condition, his family and friends have to deal with him being the targeted by the masses on top of everything.

Im not defending him in the slightest, I understand he did something bad and there are consequences. But the man is fucked, his close ones are the people being punished here.

Would be decent if the link was removed.

The trolls were a bit uncoordinated. But still, he did this and left his profile open? Was he that dumb, or just that desperate for attention?

That, and the grammar was so utterly poor that there were sometimes no words to be found. I've honestly never seen such a mockery of the english language in my entire life.

also lol at trying to commit suicide by shooting yourself in the chest

Oh good, he's expected to survive. He can go to prison and get ass-raped by a guy named Jill.

Seriously, who's the bigger idiot - the hostage taker who turns his attention away from his hostages to post on facebook, or the hostages that don't take advantage of that fact to cave his skull in with a blunt object or whatever?

Up next: 24 year-old Thomas N. breaks into houses, tattles about furniture on Twitter.

Or there may be a judge named Brian God who specialised in hostage situation cases. Who knows...
