Sounds alright to me. Though the "hardcore RPG fans" will no doubt be whining.
Dunno i consider myself pretty 'hardcore rpg fan' considering it's the genre i play most since early Ultima's and i love the idea of dynamic combat. I don't play RPGs for turn based actions, i play them for plot and it's presentation. When i want to take turns on face slapping i have tabletop sessions and even then rarely use dice.

But maybe, after all i am the very special snowflake?...
Well, I was referring to the segment of people who like 5 different skill trees for their index finger.
Ahh sarcasm and exaggeration in one sentence plus the general hate for all things PC/RPG - the escapist forums at its best. Even the contributors don't care enough for the PC to check their facts. If it wasn't for Andy Chalk, the only PC gamer in the staff left, Extra Credits, Critical Miss and Mr. Croshaw...well, you can fill in the blank.

The Heavy Melee class makes me happy in my pants.

Even though I'm waiting for a TOR release date and BETA, this oartially makes up for the wait, BioWare. :)

So The Illusive Man is going to be pissed at you regardless?

I never choose for the "salvage the Collector base" ending, but wouldn't that choice make him all happy and squishy with Shepard, or is there something I'm missing?
Either you destroyed the base, meaning he hates you, or you saved the base, meaning he hates you because Bioware wants him to hate you for some reason.

Wonder why though. Probably for a stupid reason.
Probably from indoctrination by Reaper tech. Easiest explanation without needing to make two separate ME3's, no?
Well if thats the case then it just further proves his incompetence. Everything he does ends in either the team dieing, or going rouge. The only successful operation Cerberus has preformed was rebuilding the Normandy. Everything else failed, or the team went rouge. Or a combination of the two.

Man, I really want to kill that dick.
Read in one of my Game Informer that the Alliance has taken the Normandy and is studying it so the Illusive man does not even have that.

All we need now is a mission where Shepard has to perform an epic escape while using a Jetpack. Cmon, admit it, fighting ninja's with Jetpacks and other flying mooks would pretty much make this game perfect in terms of 'awesome shit that happens'.

What is a "mook", and should I have one/be one/desire one? They sound interesting.
Mooks [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Mooks] are "standard-issue, disposable bad guys whom the hero mows down with impunity."

I'm guessing when choosing the renegade ending is that it has something to do with the reaper indocoration thingy that happens to people who aren't sheppard and his gang.
You mean, like how the Taint never managed to effect any of your team members in Dragon Age: Origins, dispite how many dark spawn they killed and how much tainted blood they were drenched in?

...I guess that makes sense.

I didn't say it was a good plot point, just what I'm guessing that it's what Bioware will go with.

No hate. That stuff is more niche and should not be in a title as mainstream as Mass Effect. If that's what you like, then I have no problem with it, so long as it stays out of the mainstream. Unless it becomes mainstream, in which case my tastes would be the niche, and the whole thing would be flipped.
Then i guess i'm not mainstream enough for MassEffect, huh? Music? No, can't stand that stuff on the radio. Movies? No, can't stand PG-13 summer blockbuster or torture porn like SAW. Comics? I despise the typical Marvel/DC shit. Books? Go home, Dan Brown. Anime? Fuck off, school fanservice. Videogames? No, i don't like to play without mouse/keyboard. But i'm not a hipster douchebag either with a hat and a sports jacket sipping overpriced "coffee" while checking my non-existing Facebook profile on my non-existing laptop. I guess i'm a living, breathing niche....

I'm positive they'll explain it if you did save the base. Otherwise, that's a huge plot hole. Perhaps Shep's become too much trouble, or the Illusive Man wants to cover his tracks.
Collector base = Reaper tech. Reaper tech = Indoctrination. Got it?

Alternatively, if you blew up the base... well, that's reason enough for him to be pissed at you.

Wow, you're really taking this way too goddamn far.

I make one fucking joke, and you're going on some kind of... I don't even know.
Don't take my little rant too serious. I was loaded with a few things and your comment pushed a few buttons so i had to vent. Sorry.

Yeah, I know. It's simply Bioware logic. We're just going to have to deal with it.

They better show us some Quarians without helmets though, I'm tired of my mind filling in the blanks; It usually results in them having fish faces.
