This made me really sad for some reason.

Please accept my pity, good sir.

I have to admit, the trailer did not look very good to me. It seemed a bit random to me. As long as this show makes video game references I will watch it.

As someone on the fuzzy side of the fence, I can safely say that this does not look promising. And I usually fall apart when cute animals start talking. This, just.... No.

I do gotta love all the furry flaming in here, though. Not that I'm going to stand up and say half of them don't deserve it, the sense of entitlement and pity they like to try and evoke is just sad at times, but you know, we're not all whining idjits who dress up in overpriced mascot suits. Just setting that out there.

This looks like a less funny South Park-ish version of Code Monkeys with dogs, and I'll be judging as such.

I am a little sad that The Escapist is going the route of the anthropomorphic Talking Animals setup, but being a fan of the Escapist, I'll probably watch the first episode, I might be wrong about what I'm thinking, and then again, I might not. I'll find out on January 14th.

I can't wait to watch Code Monk- *throat clear* Game Dogs. I mean, the concept is original! Nevermind that one webcomic with the cats or the unfortunately cancelled G4 comedy with the similar title.

Anyone notice how the breakroom in the trailer looks a LOT like the breakroom at Gameavision?

Anything Jon makes, I'll watch.
I thank you sir, but technically I didn't make this. This is all from the brain of the very talented Russ Pitts and a couple of equally talented animators and artist over at Escapist HQ. I just provided a couple of voices.

And while I think the trailer was a little lacking, if you read my previous post, I do think this series is going to be very good and I suggest giving it a couple of episodes to decide if it's your bag or not.

From the scripts that I have read though, I can assure you that I am officially a fan. :)

This has far too much furry appeal.

That said, I'll watch it. The Escapist has yet to make anything truely disappoints and I believe in Jon, not because he's watching this thread like a hawk and is probably lookingovermyshoulderrightnowomigawd but because I foresee him making good things.

This seems like a cross between Furries and Code Monkeys without the pleasent intro of Code Monkeys. I dunno, maybe sine Jon Etheridge is in it maybe it will work, but by the looks of that trailer I severely doubt it. =^.^=

I'm sure there are allot of skeptics on this one, but I think this has allot of potential and I hope it has a solid debue.

I'm confused as to why the anthro-dog theme is nessesary, but whatever, it doesn't matter as long as it's funny and makes the most out of its material. I can see it as being something fun to watch. At least you guys keep trying different stuff.

But my enthusiasm can be easily swayed, so only time will tell.

Also, I'm confused as to why there are so many skeptics. You people know they're making these shows for free, right? (not that being free gives any random show put up on this site a get out of jail free card) It's just weird we hold these web toons to such high standards.

Furries?

Really guys? Furries?
What is wrong with furries?
I'm guessing people hate the furries who sexualize their beloved childhood icons. Or turn various characters into furries through sick and twisted art.
Could it be that not everyone hates furries? Some may see furries as just kind of...you know...creepy.

I for one am not baseing my judgement on some short trailer. I'll wait for the pilot.
I'm a man of peace, but I just love to read about these two sides arguing. It's like watching a debate where the winner is who can make the biggest moron of themselves.

The hatred is basically a clash of two things: mass media and one of the oldest instincts there is: People hate what they fear and fear what they don't understand. That instinct has kept up alive for thousands of years and it's not going anywhere.

I'm not really expecting anyone to "understand" the things that they've seen in that infamous CSI episode or google image search, but I'm sure that's just just the lovely modern mass media pushing the obnoxious minority in front making everyone else being chased with pitchforks and torches. Think what happened to muslims in the USA after 9/11.

Linking this trailer to the oddballs is like linking a commercial for a pair of jeans to hardcore bondage just because there's a belt in it.

On topic: If this trailer was supposed to be the "ten seconds to impress", it failed miserably. I'll give the first few episodes a shot, maybe it'll do the same trick as Apocalypse Lane and get better later.

Under ordinary circumstances I'd be extremely skeptical of the viability of this concept, but Etheridge has delivered the goods in the past, so it'll be worth a look.
