I have been trying to find this game for so long. I remember playing it back in my primary school days so its probably before 2009/2010? It's a first person game, not a shooter game and i was playing it on the computer.

Its a game about a murder i think. It starts off in like outside a mansion and I believe there are other people with the player. At first we walk towards this mansion and i remember when you enter the mansion, there is this giant staircase that leads upwards. You could look through keyholes of the people staying in the rooms upstairs. I remember that there was a kitchen as well and if i am not wrong, after playing for awhile, the mansion suddenly turns dark because the lights are off.

Please help!! ><" i've been looking for this game since forever!

I am reposting partially for visibility, but also because I found 1 of the 2 games I was looking for, the other I remembered more details about, and I am looking for one more game.

First one I am pretty sure was on a sega console though I am not sure which one and it might have been on ps1, this would have been late 90s maybe early 2000, but definitely before xbox came out, it was an RPG and you were a young male hero out to save a princess at the start, but then it kind of evolves into saving the kingdom after you save her, i believe the characters almost looked like super early final fantasy sprites when traveling like kinda short squat little things, and there were lots of major scenery changes as you went to like magical realms and different areas of the kingdom, there were lots of little unique items and weird powers you could get to help navigate puzzles and combat, and one as silly as it was, was a ring that would turn you into a beaver type animal.

Second one I played on either GBC or GBA, it was during early pokemon days, no later than ruby and saphire i believe, it was also an rpg, it had 2d looking graphics, but while it was kinda a top down look, they presented it as more of an angle, so the starting town had like 4 or 5 "layers" that you could navigate through the streets, some of the houses and by the piers. It started out as like 4 kids in school, there was a secret passage in the side of the school on the left i believe, with like a potion. Then after class the kids meet in a cave by the pier and have a club. Something happens with like your parents I believe, or had in the past, and then you and maybe one or all of the other kids leave on the adventure, and you go between towns, and fight monsters, etc. Lastly, if it helps, i remember it having one of those see through purple cartridges, though I could be wrong.

There was a game I used to play on PS1, I thought it might be a multi-disc game but I've looked through lists of multi-disc games and can't find it. There were a lot of sci-fi elements, I think it employed a 3rd person perspective. It was a very long game, maybe 40+ levels, and it had a dungeon crawling vibe to it. I remember part of it was in a factory-like setting, part of it was in a prison, the rest I can't recall. I remember that it had lots of weapons, like every 5 minutes I encountered a new gun. The very last thing I remember about it was walking into a new room and there was a door on the other side that opened up, and a dinosaur came out of it and I had to fight it.

One memorable thing from the game that's probably not helpful, was that there was a rocket launcher that tended to glitch the game when fired, and what I vaguely remember to be an icy tunnel-like area.
Anything more specific? sounds like maybe alone in the dark.

Hey there guys can you lend me a hand here?

There is that game which I loved playing which consisted of you being a person in a black suit with your right hand being a machine gun. The enemies were robots I believe and there were food boxes which heal you but they run away from you when you get close to them.
There was also a part of a level where you are in a fake happy environment drawn to a cardboard box which you can push down. You can also throw dummies which looks like you that gets the attention of the enemies. The robots sometimes danced in front of you as a way to annoy you.

I will be grateful for any help!

This might be "MDK" (1997).

Hello everyone!

I used to play this pc game, where it was a space shoot'em up.
You would be in a big space location. You could pick up abilities as you fought creatures. After some time (or after killing enough enemies) a worm hole would appear, and you would need to reach it. One of the abilities included some kind of a flail that you can use with the momentum of your space ship.

Please do help me on this!
Still no help? I understand; no one wants to help me, anyway.
Wow, still no help.
Come on now. This thread works in the following way: some people check it now and then to see if there's something they can either answer right away or something that they could possibly find out. Sometimes it turns out they can't. And they do it just to help out a fellow game enthusiast, not because that's their job. They're the same as you, how many people have you helped with their questions?

So if you don't get a satisfactory reply (I see someone already tried, but got it wrong), it doesn't mean you're being discriminated against, it means that the people who look into this thread to see if they can help anyone find something don't know the answer to your question, and don't really know where to look or what exactly to look for. Sometimes it helps to post a more detailed description of the game you are looking for, and obviously the platform and the time frame are very useful. The one thing that doesn't help is to get rude with anyone who might want to help you.

Hope you find this helpful.
The reason I'm like this is that I'm never able to find whatever I'm looking for.
Also, if I knew it any further, MAYBE I would know it already. But sadly, I played this game when I was around 7-8 or so.
Well, we don't personally know you. Heh, how are we supposed to know when you were seven-ish years old?
Anyways, as you know these dates better, why not start by going through this extensive list of possible candidates.
Obiously you'll want to check out either Windows or DOS games if you're looking for a PC game.
Still, if the game happened to be some freeware/indie game it will be a bit harder to track it down.
I don't know if the game is called "Scrolling" since you can go in every direction, not just one direction.

Also, I remember that the game had several power ups you can pick up to use as a weapon for your spaceship, with one being a flail that you can use with the momentum of your ship. I remember that there are worm-like enemies that you can kill later in the game. And the game is not 3D, it's 2D with bird-eye view of the spaceship.
Hmm, I'm not sure how that site defines scrolling. Apparently they include "multi-directional" (or "arena") shmups as well, but I don't see "Zone 66" in that list, so I can't be certain. Still I'd start by clicking through the names in the possible time frame.

When you say PC, does it mean PC in the sense of x86-architecture? Somehow I get the feeling I might have seen that flail in an Amiga game, but I might mix things up.

So, I kind of hit my last hope here of finding this game, but here I go...

All I remember is that when I was like 5 I got a CD with 40 or 50 computer games that came with a magazine in portuguese, among them was the one Im looking for...

I remember it like this, you were a frog/toad and you have to find a way out of some kind of lab or sewers, but there were traps, you can de-activate those with lever but if you fail, the frog/toad gets electrocuted.

Some other games on the CD were:
>Some Dragon Ball game
>labrat
>Charlie the duck
>Citi mining(pic related)
>Some kind of brick break
>a Sonic game

I've looked everywhere, DOS libraries, blog, youtube, and the internet in general...

New here, I've been trying to find the name of an old game I played when I was a kid. Im positive it was for sega, but could of been for SNES. Only vague details I remember is that it was sorta like zelda in the way of attacking monsters and moving around on maps. But you had this animal or sprite that followed you where you drew different powers from. Anyone remember such a game? Thanks!!!

It is literally a PC game. I know this because I used to play it on Windows XP. However, it came with a CD that had alot of demos and one big full game. HOWEVER, it is from the magazine company called LEVEL. So, I literally have no idea.

Hi there! Just found this thread so I HAVE to throw this game out there. It's been bugging me forever!

Only saw it played once when I was over a friend's house. Pretty sure it was for the NES, but I could be wrong.

It was a side-scrolling platformer with a choice of characters, somewhat similar to Mario 2 (Doku-Doku Panic or whatever).

Each character had a different balance of speed, jump height, and health, from what I recall. They may have had other abilities, but I don't remember. For sure I can remember 3 characters. A little boy, a little girl, and a blob. The blob was super slow, couldn't jump, but had a ton of health.

I want to say I remember my friend called it "The Wacky Wizard of Oz" or something. But we were little and he could have been making that up, since a search for that yielded nothing helpful for me.
I did some additional digging on my own, and read about a game called "Legacy of the Wizard". Which rang some bells for me Big Time. I'm still not 100% convinced that it was the one though.

It definitely could have been what caused my terrible misheard title. And the character select screen has a white blob in it that could be the blob I'm thinking about. It looks like it's supposed to be a sleeping dog or something. And a description I read talks about the family pet Pochi, who's a monster, and so is immune to the other monsters. Immunity to certain things is definitely a better description of its abilities than what I wrote above.

Any depictions I've found of this character have been a little pink dragon guy, though. Not the white blob I remember.

Okay, PC, Windows XP, Level Magazine (Turkish Level?). We're actually getting somewhere. :-D
Have a look at this page, maybe one of these CDs rings a bell.

Pretty sure you're thinking of Crusader of Centy (a.k.a. Soleil) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq7fDSYeM84] for the Genesis.

There was this game I don't remember to much of it but it's a game where you can choose like your character and like the packastan character. It's like an overhead of a level but it's just a battle and whenever you win, you get items/gold then go to different places, get an army, buy crap, and you took over the counties and shit. It was a bad ass game on the computer. I just don't remember it at all
What do you mean by "packastan character?" It would be helpful if you could give more details.

Hi,

I need help locating a ps1 game I can't really remember. The details are a blur to me since I was young .. all I remember is that it was a 2d rpg, and there was this gloomy village that I think there were sick villagers? the whole scenery looks greenish and I needed to go in a certain cave wherein I found some tubes that were leaking and broken carts.

I played it around the 2000s, any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I have many troubles with finding an old game that I loved, so I add "a description" below and I hope it would be helpful for you to recognize it:)

The screen of the games was kinda like in Bomberman (I mean one-screen game). The background was always black and there was a few rooms with white borders. The aim was (I guess) to escape myself or someone else and the main character was wizard or ghost. It could also contain keys, monsters etc, but I don't really remember what was the true purpose of each level. At the begining of every level the character appeared in some crazy way, like circles or something. The score and all of it was at the top of the screen (on 90%).
Unfortunately I even don't remember the console - it should be Atari, Commodore or Nintendo, but I'm not sure any of it :(

I hope that maybe some of you have flashes of that game or even recognize it, it would be a HUGE RELIEF to me and I would be really thankful :))))

Hey all, there are quite a few awesome old games you guys reminded me of throughout this thread, and I'm not sure if this one was in there but if someone knows it please remind me of the name! It's been driving me crazy! Ok so its an old PC game (probably late 90's - early 2000's) and I remember the intro to it is a video of a guy being strapped into some kind of chair or control pod with cables being jacked in to him. The game basically lets you control these... holographic tank things and flying ships in a battlefield and you can switch from 3rd person control to being able to directly control the individual vehicles. That's about all I remember of it. I'm sure I will recognize the title once someone says it. Thanks for your help guys.

Hello!

I've been trying to find this game for years and I haven't had any luck, it's been so long I can't really remember the specifics too well, I think I found it on an old multi pack of games/game demos and I'm pretty sure I found it by accident.

What I can remember with certainty
It was on windows (I'm leaning towards 98), it was an overhead shooter (like zelda), there was split screen, plenty of guns, I don't think it was an office space but it was clearing fairly small rooms, it was released during the mid-late 90s (the graphics may have been simple but they certainly weren't ugly)

What I believe I remember correctly (it was about 20 years ago after all)
The graphics were above a standard nes game, you collected packages or something similar hidden in the level and it's POSSIBLE it did something along the lines of Operation Inner Space and used icons from your computer for the collectables. It wasn't quite as flashy as zombies ate my neighbors but I think it played in the same sort of style (collectables, not neighbors), split screen play was co-op, I don't believe it was head to head but it may have been. More packages, more money, more powerful weapons (I'm not sure if it actually had a plot or anything)

Thank you for the help
