could be altered beast . there is the old arcade/sega version which is a beat-em-up and there was also a remake for the ps2 which is more akin to the 3d horror genre like resident evilAgent_Z said:There was this game I played where you could take different monster forms based on animals. Third one (the one with smiley faces) might be Faceball 2000 (aka MIDI Maze)flamesofshadow said:i have a few games i wish i could rediscover but describing them is not easy.
the first one was a game where you were some sort of robot, and the objective of the game (from what i played and can remember) was to collect floppy disk shaped "data disks" and put them in various terminals around the level, i believe there were enemy robots of various types but i think i only dealth with bug type ones, as for the look of it, i believe it was a 2.5D type game.
the second one is likely a fan made game or some kind of test for a game, it was a mario (the nintendo character) themed game which was 2.5D, unlike normal mario games the player simply walked around the level and could speak to various characters (who never moved and only stood in place) after a few minutes a row of fireballs would come from the top of the screen in a horizontal line and always kill the player so i never got to figure out what it was about, i remember the level being a grassy area with shrub walls in some places and a pipe that was on the far left side of the map which was hard to reach on time and im unsure if it was useable.
the next two i played at the same time period (as i believe they were on a disk or set of disks together, possible the galaxy of games series), the first game was a really weird FPS style game where you would walk through a mostly whiteish or brick maze with a gun or fist and would kill enemies, one of the enemies was a big smiley face which made weird sounds, and you had to always watch your back as enemies would come out of nowhere and kill you.
The second game is going to be really tough to describe but here goes, from what i recal you played as a stick man or a pencil drawn guy, and you would be in a really open white or possibly textured area and would find these structures which were basically white blocks grouped together, and some of them were in geometric patters and you had to climb on and around them to find or get something, but i never got to play the game very long.
and the final one is a game which i only played very briefly when i was very very young so between 95-2005 it was on a floppy disk, and all it consisted of was two 3D white octagonal polygon platforms and a rope between them all on a pure black background, you played as a bipedal reptile of some sort and to beat the first level you had to jump from your platform to the rope and land on the other platform, but i never managed as it was difficult to play and i lost the disk not long after finding it, i think the player character was green and everything else was white while the background was completely black, its entirely possible it was some sort of demo disk for something but there is no record of it at all anywhere that i can find, it would be nice to be able to at least learn the name of these extremely obscure games.
Just got back on this forum after 1-2 years.. You guys found 3 games I was looking for and I'm eternally grateful for that. Although, there wasn't answers for this one.. If someone can help, pls do! Thanks.zion_jah said:Nah, this one is from 1995. My game was at least 5+ years newer. I remember it being a FPS (hmm), you were holding some sort of a space gun, and there was a bar with that alienish looking bartender in something that looked like a spaceship. Don't know. It's really hard to dig up this tiny pieces of memory. But i'll continue to post. So far 3/3 on this forum, I'm not even afraid someone will remember this game.KaiYLowell said:Hmm, this sounds like it may well be Space Quest 6. There's a bar with an alien waiter very close to the beginning.zion_jah said:I've actually remembered one more. Guess it was around 99-02 when I played it. It was probably just a demo 1 level, but can't be sure.
Have a vivid memory of alien as a waiter in some spaceship and if I'm correct, you needed to shoot some bottles in the bar.(!?!?)
Don't know if it was a task, or I did that just cause game allowed me, haha.
Graphics were quite nice, but aren't they all when you remember only glance of childhood. In my mind it's probably lot better than the game actually was back then.
Nevertheless, if someone remembers similar plot, write it down guys!
Btw, it probably wasn't a big title. Got a feeling I've played a small demo from CD of a PC magazine my father used to read at that time.
Thanks for trying nevertheless, I appreciate it.
Could it have been Space Rogue? It doesn't exactly match your description, but there is apparently a minigame found at every bar.zion_jah said:Just got back on this forum after 1-2 years.. still cant find it..shuwenjelly said:its been 4 years i still cant find itshuwenjelly said:Please, someone help me remember this game.
You played as a purple balled named Ollie or something. It was like a point and click game. There was a part where you had to help a moose fix something, a horseshoe I suppose. In the map with the moose, there was a furnace. He was like a blacksmith I think. And there was a carnival map there too.
I'm 16 now. I played it when I was 5 or 6. I've been searching for 2 years..![]()

Was it one of these:MarchHatchet said:Hello everyone, I'm interested in an old Diablo-like game where the action occurs on a planet where the main enemies are some of alien species. Your objective, as I remember, was to destroy their big eggs. During the loading screens you can obverse a ship carrying those eggs, 8 to 10 in number.
You began in a human base, the weapons were pistols at first, elementals pistols. Afterwards, you will find rifles. The weapons I have used were based on laser. Just like in Diablo II, the NPCs were traders of specific items, like a smith, a healer, a quest giver etc. The atmosphere felt futuristic, the controls were point and click (I hope I remember correctly) and the graphics, old.
Even if it's a game or a Diablo II mod, I hope you can help me.
Wow, this was from ages ago. I forgot all about this. Still no ideas?Krista Hamilton said:Alright, so I'm thinking of a game that I used to play at school in the early to mid 2000's. It was a game similar to Kid Pix but it had a lot more to it I think. I think I remember it having some sort of menu system in a room inside of a treehouse and you clicked on various objects to take you to different parts of the game. I think there was one for reading and others for different subjects, but I didn't use those. I always went with the arts option where you were taken to a screen with an open blank journal that you could type whatever you wanted into it, but you could also put drawings in as well. The different drawing features played songs whenever you used them. For instance, whenever you clicked and held to erase, it played a certain song as you did so. When you let go of the mouse button, the song stopped. I also remember that there was a video that I think would play at the start of the game and maybe also at different parts where a live-action man dressed as a clown (who was also a bee for some reason) talked to you as he was flying. It was a really odd and obscure game as far as I knew, but I absolutely loved it and have been scouring the internet for it for hours now. Please help!
