I think it may be Lands of Lore 3! I'm looking into it.
Have you been able to confirm yet?

EDIT: Could the ferret familiar be Syruss, the Thief Guild familiar? Here's a pic:

From Intelligent Game Reviews review of Lands of Lore 3:
http://intelligames.nodblog.com/lands-of-lore-iii-review/

"Another unique twist on the game is the familiar... Syruss (the ferret) will pick up just about anything that isn?t tied down, though nobody seems to worry about the fact that you have a flying ferret floating around you."

Sounds like we might have got it.
Yes! Been playing it all day, it seems so new, I must have never got very far or something. But holy crap, I can't believe it. A thousand thanks to both of you for work shopping it. That is exactly the ferret I remembered, but the rat I thought I remembered was apparently just an old lady! Hahaha.

Since I had no answers last time, I'm giving it another shot! :)

"Hello there, I'm currently trying to find the name of an old 3D RPG made in the 90's.

I'm fairly sure it was a DOS game in which you were a man who could transform into different beings, every being had a specific power that would unlock the next part of the game. I can't remember it very clearly, but i think atleast, one was a beast, who had super strength, there was some dwarf like creature which allowed you to walk under things to progress and big multi eyed monster which allowed you to fly.

To use the transformation powers, you had to defeat a boss, to get a crystal to be able to transform, and all the different bosses were as said these different beings that required certain tactics, the first one was the beast, you had to kick him until he was defeated. But yeah, all that I can remeber.

If anyone has a clue, please help!"

I played Goldeneye at a friend's house this one time, and I didn't even know it was Goldeneye until I got to the mission we were trying to bead when I played it on my own...ten years later.

Hi, thanks for this thread, it's really useful.

I was looking for one game that i've been playing during 90's.

It looks similar (on graphics) to http://www.elpixelilustre.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Flashback3.jpg

It was in 2D (like the game in the link), the protagonist was a man. The game was in color. Some levels you appear with some jungle background, at others levels I remember fighting against something like "robotic floating squares".

I remember too one image with an eagle. (Not sure about this)...

Also, you can choose the level by some extern menu.

Resuming: PC, 2D, color, platform, different zones like jungle or technological, protagonist as a man.

Thank you and sorry 'bout bad english and poor info.

Thanks for the previous answer, it was that game , I also played a game long time ago that was taking place in ancient Egypt and at beginning you had to choose if you wanna be thief, fighter or mage, then you appeared in some city and there was some temple with some statues of gods, then in the city there was also a lot of shops and so, there was also a desert on which you were randomly attacked by some monsters and find some oasis on the way, then there was some kind of a training station further in desert where you could throw spear at target and walk on some rope there, in the east side of the desert you could find some rain forest and if i remember right there was some monster in it but not sure, graphics were nothing special.
Came here looking for the same game. Eventually I figured it out -- Quest for Glory III: Wages of War.

What was this OLD 'elements' video game for Windows? Like it's for Windows 95-Windows XP era. You play using the elements - Earth, Fire, Water, Air

The game looked similar to Mahjong in Appearance... but no, it's not that.

I think it might be a shareware but Google search came up with nothing similar. I am pretty sure it's not a popular game, but I am bothered that I don't remember what was this game called.

Been looking for awhile for this one, can't seem to find it but I feel like I'm so close.

It was a PC strategy game, a lot like StarCraft, in the late 90s I wanna say. You could choose between Humans and Martians, and the plot was that humans come to Mars to mine or something like that, and a war is started. You could upgrade your units and all that jazz, just like StarCraft. You could also find "relics" of the native Martians that could be used for something, although that might have been just a story mission. One of the only specific things I can really remember is that the aliens had a unit that was akin to the humans' Mech Robot in the game, which was a creature with large teeth and jaws, and had blades coming out of its elbows, knees, and hands. The Martians were also very stereotypical looking Martians, but the actual name of their race was something different I believe. I feel it on the tip of my tongue but no matter how hard I try I can't think of the name of this game! Please help.

I think I remember something like that. There was a capture the flag style multiplayer, and yes, it was a police force mech of some kind set in a futuristic metropolis. Metropolis might have even been in the title...

Hey, been trying to find out the name of a game my daughter used to play. It was an educational/puzzle game with a cat and in the game there was this board of spaces/land that you had to do something with. In the game your screen had a whole bunch of what seemed like grey elevator/doors and I think you had to get away from the cat and there were mini trampolines they'd jump on and you'd go in a door/elevator thing and you'd have to do a puzzle about matching or something like that to unlock something else. Maybe it was from 2000's. Oh and something just came to my memory of a factory/machine or something trying to be built or idk. This is all really vague but I'd love to see if anyone knew what I was talking about. (I use the word "something" a lot haha)

I've been looking for a game that I remember enjoying when i was a kid for a few months now (in my spare time) and I've hit sort of a wall. my biggest problem has been that I don't remember the title of the game or much about it (I couldn't have been more than ten) but I do remember a few things. I played the game in the early to mid 90's and on my p.c. (which was quite a clunker even then) and it was specifically about hacking into computer systems. you could buy software and you were given missions but i think you could also do non mission hacking too. the game itself was fully 2D (and if i remember correctly it was pretty simple) and I remember being a fan of the writing, it was a bit like neuromancer (though it wasn't the neuromancer game). one last thing I remember was that If you lost in the end you would get a screen telling you that you had fried you're grey matter. I know this isn't a lot to go on but I was hoping a few p.c. aficionados out there might remember a game like that.

please help me.im looking the name of a rpg game extremely similar to torchlight, almost a clone of this game(3-4 years old). it begins in a village filled with zombies then you go in a forest with werewolves. you go in dungeons where you are helped sometime by people. i rememer you can choose between 3 characters, one of them it looks asian and it has blades and the character you choose has two helpers : a giant and a rotating bird but the pets are not permanent like in torchlight, you must summon them with scrolls.the npc who give you quests are staying in some kind of basement and warp you to maps with a machine. the game also has nice graphics.
oh, i remember today something useful the giant you can summon was a "golem" and he levels at the same time as the hero and you can choose to raise his life or damage.

Probably The Unholy War, the only RTS/fighting hybrid I know of on PS1.

Kafrikon said:
It was on psx (ps1) you had some sort of a car or a tank dont remember exactly that was transforming into a robot.

There was a old Playstation 1 game, you were a cop, and used a cop car in a futuristic setting in a sandbox-ish map
LAPD Future Cop, good sirs. You were both a hovercar and a mech, and you did indeed have minguns and you burn a bunch of guys with a flamethrower in mission 2.

When I was yonuger around 2005/4 I played a real time strategy game and I cant remmber the name of the game.
Maybe Black And White 2, judging by the 'placing two people in a house to procreate' detail, and that it released in 2005.

kaylakay25 said:
It was a first person shooter, but you had no control over your body.
Probably Judge Dredd, that game had a lot of focus on not shooting innocent civillians.

Bryson Woolsey said:
It's a top down perspective and you fly a helicopter and go around rescuing people drowning in the ocean or shooting shit down
You're looking for Desert Strike, or possibly its sequel.

Hope this helps you guys.

Until recently: Giants Citizen Kabuto. After someone recommended it on this forum, I saw it and recalled playing it long ago.
