Alright what I'm looking for is a 90's PC game probably around 95ish. It takes place in the future, I don't know if it's an apartment building or a hotel you are in but you can go in elevators I think and walk around. You have to go to work and scan your finger on a fingerprint scanner. I think the corporation you work for is bad and owns the building you live in. I think you can fall out a window to your death or something...maybe not.. This is really hard to remember lol... there's a robot lady voice and you can use an atm type thing. I was just thinking of Hell Cab and I may be getting parts of that mixed up with it lol. But it's not Hell Cab.

Hi folks!
I'm trying to find an old game I used to play back in the early 90's. It's probably from the 80's. I believe it was DOS-native.

To my recollection, the game was just called "ROBOTS". It was played on basically a blue colored grid. On the grid were electro-shock spots, pit spots, walls, and the exit.

You used the numpad to move. Each time you moved your little guy, the robots would move one block closer. You could trick them into entering the electro-shock spots to kill them. You had to make your way to the exit by avoiding the robots-- either trapping them on the other side of walls, or shocking them.

Anyone familiar with this old puzzle/logic style game?

Thanks!

Hmm...I don't think it was this, but try

Rise Of The Dragon (1990)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIue08JFz9k

it's older but some things that you say match with this game...in the meantime I'll try to remember if there is another similar game. By the way, I'm assuming that it was a first person game like Hell Cab.

Hi guys! I'll try to explain the situation, although my english isn't very good. There was this win95 game I played a decade ago - but sure it was older than that - where you played with a dinosaur/alligator/crocodile/whatever it is this green thing, and you had to stack boxes to reach the door/next level. The graphics were all quite simple. If someone knows what it is, it'll be very helpful. Thansk!

Alright, I'll be very surprised if someone can figure this out based on my description, but here goes.

This is a PC game made probably some time in the early to mid 90s. It was a puzzle game where you had to collect objects and use them to navigate a dungeon. I think it may have been a first person game, but I'm not entirely sure. It had kind of a dark theme to it. I remember something about a magic ring that was hard to find, and the best clue is that it had a magic carpet and some kind of lava section or level that you had to navigage with the carpet. That part especially was very challenging (or seemed at the time) and I died a lot. It's definitely not Aladdin, the game had a much darker theme. Ring any bells?

Hi people!

It's about a game I played in a Arcade machine, in the 95-98 approx, a gun and run/ platform like Metal Slug. The Main character look like Danny Zuko (john travolta in Grease xD) it's a 2d game with Cartoon look (halloween cartoon rather) I think the first or second stage are above a train and the second or third in a forest, I remember little monster like flying eyes ( as Ariman, floating eye, etc in FF series)

I cannot remember much about this adventure game, it was probably a DOS game from the early 90s.

What I remember well was one particular room, there are four (maybe only two?) stationary eyeball looking guys that shoot at you. In order to make it through you have to push a boulder out in front of you. There is a room off to the right that had treasure. (looks something like this http://imgur.com/5yrwrIU)

This has been bothering me for awhile, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

This was a computer game from the mid 80s. I played it in middle school and think it loaded from floppy disks.

It was a puzzle adventure game. It had an island or jungle theme. I believe there was a character named Gaylord. You had to type commands and I think there were static scenes for each room or location--I don't believe there was movement. I don't think the character you played as appeared on screen. You had to find things and figure out how to use them to proceed and stuff like that.

I've searched many combinations of titles and subjects and searched lists, thumbnails, and descriptions. Whatever it was, I don't believe it was very common or popular.

Can someone help me? I remember playing this game (a side-scrolling game) when I was a kid between 2006-2008 on our PC, it has Windows '98 OS. The character in the game is a girl wearing a penguin suit and her weapons are her penguins. She will throw the penguins to the enemies and they will turn into ice. You will also change character that turn her enemies into eggs. You also need to collect fruits for points. That's all I remember. Any help will be appreciated. XD

Having just read the article by Marla Desat on Egypt in gaming I've been reminded of a game I had on the amiga, so probably from around 1990-1993.

It was first person and you were some dude going into a pyramid to stop some sort of Pharaoh's curse/ancient prophecy that was going to destroy the world. The game over screen was something akin to the moon covering the sun and then shattering into little bits and showering the earth with chunks of moon.

Not much to go on I know, but it's really bugging me for some reason.

Hello guys!

I really hope you can help me... I've searched for some time now and found nothing.

I remember playing a 2d game, where you had to manage a small group of (i think) dwarves.
It played a bit like the game Diggles, but its way older.
You had to keep the dwarves motivated, dig around, build houses and taverns etc. for them. I think the goal was to find some treasures which were hidden in some kind of old "temples". When you entered one of those you had to choose how many of your guys you would take. Inside you had to solve some easy to hard puzzles. Some of them weren't even solvable if you took not enough guys with you.

I am not sure but i think the dwarves had white hair and beards.

I really hope someone remebers that game. I remember, that i loved to play it, but i was just to young to solve the harder puzzles.
No one? =(

Edit: OMG just found it by myself after about 6 hours of searching ^^
If someone wants to know what i was talking about, here it is: http://www.legenddiaries.com/english/grandpas-retro-games-caveland/

Hey there,

First of all, a big "thank you" for this community to keeping this thread alive. That nostalgic feeling about a game you simply cannot remember name of could be quite a killer. Glad to see some people finding their games here. Cheers!

I remember playing this game about seven years ago, but even then it looked a bit old from a graphic stand point. I got this game via small cd, and as I suspect, it was only few mb of a size.

Gameplay was something like this: you drive a car in a street, trying not to collide with any other cars. As if it wasn't difficult enough, some cops from behind are trying to catch and ram you, and other cop cars are trying to hit you by driving in front of you. Physics were pretty realistic in a scary way: every crash has a visual impact on your car, and after you've been hit hard enough... Well, let's say, you feel bad for that car of yours.

By surviving some particular distance you unlock other cars, a road gets a little different, cops become more aggresive, and so on.

Not expecting to find this game, but... It would be a pleasant surprise. Thank you again, guys!

Hello there,I wish you all can help me

I remember a game that you have two characters at the same moment, you use a boy and a girl (with pink hair) I only remember that the girl can transform into animals/things to pass through traps, like, one of the first traps, the floor had some spikes and you need that the girl transform into a some kind of bird with long legs (I think it was a Flamingo) All the animals or things that she transform are pink beacuse of her hair and you use the boy to get in her back and pass through the spikes.I remember another one that it was a lot of water in form of a "U" and a big rock in the middle,to pass through you need that the girl transform into a duck for some reason.

(The game was a 2D game)

UPDATE: My sister claims that our school used two games for which there is no information about online. The names are supposedly "Adventure Alpha" and "Voyager." Again, these are from the 80s, probably 85-87.

IBarruen:
Hello, I am currently trying to remember the name of a old pc game that I use to play a few years back, I remembering it being first person hack and slash style game, I don't think you were able to cast any spells and it was all melee, it was a dungeon type game and there is a few levels I remember playing, one of them was like an old castle where the fog was really thick and you kept being shot at by arrows, the other was in a place that took place in the mountains and you had to cross a bridge over a huge drop to get there and there was enemies who would just out of the water to try and attack you, another level I remember was somewhere in a plains like area and it involved ruins and possibly runes to open up a dungeon, towards where I stopped playing there was this really hard boss you had to kill in a dungeon type area with a lot of torches on the walls and soon after you beat him you were taken to another level where there were mine carts, I am uncertain as to if it was a first person or third person game but this game is relitively old and I do remember only being able to use melee type weapons.

I think you must be remembering "Severance-Blade of darkness". Released by codemasters , developed by Rebel act. There is a HUGE fan community online , where you can get it and a LOT of mods.
Imho the best hack n slash game ever. Where you have totally control over every movement during the fights. I hope this is what you were looking for.

No wasn't that one, it had better graphics I think and yes it is first person. It's hard because I remember so little. All the games my parents bought came out of the Wal- Mart bargain bin so they are all obscure lol. I really liked the ones with real video and had a few like that Hell Cab, Who Shot Johnny Rock and one called Fork in The Tail with Rob Schneider. The only game I can't figure out is this one, I don't think it had the interactive videos like those though.

I haven't been able to find this game anywhere on the internet so I hope someone here knows what I'm talking about. I remember it very vaguely but I'll try to supply as much info as I can.

It was a strategy game, very pixelated, set in modern times (I think since you had cars (were those even cars?)). If I remember correctly you had infantry units which could come in singles pairs or threes (not that sure). Also, you were looking from a bird's perspective.

I adored that game, played it from a floppy disk which is now nowhere to be found.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
One last bump.
Could it be "Syndicate" or the sucessor "Syndicate wars" ?
