I have a few games which I have never been able to figure out their names, but I can only think of one right now.

I played this game when I was 3 or 4 years old, so realize this may be innacurate :) . I played it on an old school computer (it was no later than 1991 I think) and I believe the game had 5-10 floppy disks. I have always wanted to say it is called Dragon's Lair, but every internet search I've used has always turned up games that never look similar.

Anyways, I remember you start off in shack or small farm type building, and outside is your pet pig (I wish I could remember his name! lol) I don't remember how you move around the world, but I believe it's an isometric view which is stationary. I think I remember a large river south east of where your farm is and I remember eventually entering a cave, which I believe had a dragon in it, and after entering you needed to climb a rope or get a rope to proceed. That's all I can remember, someone help! This has been bothering me for 20 years :)

One of the other games I wish I could remember more about was more recent than NES but definitely older than SNES (I remember most SNES games I've played, I have a pretty good memory) All I know is it was a JRPG. I know that isn't helpful, but it wasn't any Final Fantasy, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, or Phantasy Star. It wasn't Shining Force (and it wasn't a tactical rpg), but this thread just made me think of that game and how amazing it was...
I'm quoting myself in hopes someone will know what game this is, since it's been a few days :)
I've never played a game based off of it, but the description you gave reminded my of The Chronicles of Prydain, which Disney based a film, called The Black Cauldron on. Sure enough, Disney made a PC game of The Black Cauldron.

For the Megadrive (genesis). It was basically Contra but you played as 1 of 4 Robots.
That game would be Probotector maybe?

Not so much game that i cant remember but those i didnt rememeber and finally found about them WAYYYYY later.

For a LONG time i was looking around for a game about a mouse with a jetpack on the SNES that i only saw for an hour when i was, like, 10. I remembered it because the music was awesome, the jetpack, and the sword that shoots.. lasers?

Then i found it last year; Sparkster! Still love the music, but the game is friggin' HARD!

Another was a game i played at my cousin's place when i was a kid, with an old console that used small cards to load games.
Also found it only recently. It was a TurboGrafx16, the games were "Keith Courage in Alpha Zones" and "Bonk's adventure" THese were very fun games, especailly Bonk's adventure.

ive got 2...

the first is an RTS, its probably old, like age of empires 2 graphics. you had basic military GIs, and i remember you could order them to bunker down and put up some sort of sandbag barrier around themselves. you could research more futuristic stuff; i got a jetpack trooper later on.

the second is a demo i once played; not a game i could forget: you played as a mosquito and the game was about sucking the blood of a family in their house. oh yeah, on the playstation...though i honestly dont remember if it was PS1 or PS2.

If anyone find this I will be your slave for the years to come.
It´s a VERY vague memory, but it was an RPG for the Snes you spent the first part of the game in caves and doing some "meaningless" tasks(at least I think they was meaningless... and tasks). That´s it I only played it like an hour as a child, got stuck and gave up.

There's one I remember playing on the Commodore 64. For some time, all I had was the C64 port of Exterminator, and this game I remember, but can't find.

You play as a pirate (I think), and you're in a sort of hedge or tree maze trying to get to some treasure. The game is a top down perspective like Zelda, and the maze itself is several screens big. From memory, the maze is also randomly generated.

Oh may lord!!! My love for the Internet and all of its possibilities, wealth of randomness and topics like this one has increased enormously!

There is an old game that has been in my mind for some time now. I think it was from the late 80's early 90's. I played it as a kid but could not pass the first screen lol. I thought it was an Incredible Hulk game for the longest time but I could not find any info online about it.
It was text based like Hugo's House of Horrors but the animations were like still cells that changed (i assume they change but I wouldn't know for sure since I couldn't get past the first screen) as you progress through the game.

Anyway, the game begins with the hero (who, for some reason, I thought was Bruce Banner)sitting in a chair, blindfolded and hands and feet tied up. He is in what looks like a dark jail cell with a small window in the background letting just enough light in to see the character. The only way to move through the game is by typing text commands such as:

"Call for help"
(screen answers)--> You did, nothing happened.

"Break the ropes"
(screen answers)--> You tried, but are tied too tightly. (or something to that effect)

This goes on and on as I tried many commands. "chew through ropes", "get angry", "knock over chair", "untie ropes"...etc..

Does this ring any bells with anyone here?
I can only hope at least one other person shares in my madness so I can sleep well believing that this is not just a figment of my own mind...:D

An RTS for the PC that was released around eight years ago. I don't remember much, just that you controlled a mideval army and attacked forts and castles. And I know, with that vague a description I will never figure out what it was.

I have one that is annoying me.. I vaguely remember but you were a circle, in a maze and you shot opponents (either second player or the computer) and when you died, it said "Have a Nice day" (i think that is what it said, anyways). Which I think was for SNES.
That one's gotta be Faceball 2000.

And that must be Phantasmagoria.

There was this random old game they had on the school computers...you got trapped in the body of a kewpie doll and transported to like a fairytale land or something where you had to solve puzzles based on nursery rhymes... anybody else ever play this? This was back in the early nineties...

PC game isometric topdown view, strategy, you had to build a city on an alien planet and defend against waves of alien attackers, you could build tanks and missile launchers. It never let you attack you could only defend.
This is pretty old as well, was the game that got me into strategy games :D

A game where you played as a robot who had the yellow and black stripes of caution somewhere on his body. I think his arms. I also believed it transformed (into a tractor maybe?). It was on the N64 or PS1.
