I love how they say "LOL @ Meat Boys breath" as if people who eat meat never brush their teeth and are just animals (hah!)

To be fair, I'm not entirely sure Super Meat Boy is made out of animal meat. He could be made out of wholly synthetic meat for all we know.
I prefer to imagine he is made of people meat. Maybe PETA would be okay with that because clearly animals are more important than humans.

So they parody a game about a piece of meat hunting a fetus for a bandage girl... by beating the bloody (literally) crap out of him with "bean curd", which is by FAR the least appetizing name for food.

Ah, do what you want PETA, just don't stand between me and my roasted chicken. I'm serious, don't.

Anyone else think this is just sad and petty? Also has anyone tried tofu? Vegetarians have some god damn tasty food so y eat something that tastes as bad as tofu
Hey man, I'm not defending PETA here, but some tofu is actually delicious. Fried chilli tofu, still incredibly healthy for you (because it's not like greasy batter fried). Aw, so delicious!

OT: It almost strikes me as sad, couldn't PETA have spent the time having a rally or a fundraising event instead of making the game?

Can't the makers of meat boy sue PETA for using there product without asking them?
Not if the material is being used for satirical purposes. PETA is using Fair Use the same way guys like the Nostalgia Critic and Angry Video Game Nerd do. That and PETA isn't actually SELLING the game, they're giving it away for free.

But tofu... is tofu!

How can it compare to the deliciousness that is meat? I feel so sorry for meat boy that I'm going to go eat some meat now.

It's already been said a hundred times on this thread, but PETA are a bunch of eco-morons and they can take their soy cubes to the "tastes like shit" line where they should be.

And this is why nobody takes PETA seriously.

I agree with not torturing animals but all of this silly nonsense of about not swatting flies or playing a game with the word meat in it just makes people ignore real important issues that they could be bring up.

P.S. Anyone else picture Tofu from Resident Evil 2 when you read the name of the game?

Funny. I'm eating a salami loaded sandwich and it's de-friggin-licious. I've had tofu.

It sucks. Tastes like nothing.
In other words: PETA sucks, Super Tofu Boy sucks, Super Meat Boy is awesome.
Plus PETA are one of the big boys.
When it comes to being an asshole, that is.

I'm one of the biggest anti-PETA people you'll ever meet, and I think this is just plain awesome. Bravo to PETA (never thought I'd say that) for having a good sense of humor. Also, Super Meat Boy is a really good game.

Please don't think all vegetarians are like this. I'm one and I absolutely love Super Meat Boy
I don't think all vegetarians are like this. PETA's just a particular sect of vegetarians who have gone completely off the deep end. My sister's a vegetarian, and she's absolutely lovely...and awesome.

Plus, why pimp out tofu. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of tofu. So bland, you have to soak it in soy sauce just to get any flavour in to it. Why not something much tastier, like kofta? Little tasty balls of potato and egg.

I'm probably not going to turn vegetarian soon, and I hate when PETA's Nazi party style of fascism gets in my face, and telling me that I'm doing something horribly wrong. As said previously:

PETA. Go away, we don't tell you how to live. I'll eat a delicious baby cow if I want to. You are free to make YOUR life choices, you have no right to make mine for me.
Oh, and...DOUBLE BURN:

I bet the guys in a single episode of Animal Rescue on Animal Planet have done more than Peta has in 15 years.

Bwahaha, this is stupid beyond words. It's good to know we have PETA spending their money to save all of the precious little bunnies and squirrels. Oh wait...

im more mad that PETA has a waterfront headquarters despite being a "non profit" agency. this parody they made is obviously a publicity stunt that shouldn't be taken seriously.

now if you'll excuse me, im going to shoot a cow in the face and cook it via spit roast on the spot.
