That is if you follow smogon's stupid rules. I can think of so many counters for speed boost blaziken, they banned it unjustly. Why not ban a baton passing ninjask with swords dance as that is even more effective than blaziken and it could even -gasp- pass that speed and power to a blaziken!Terminate421 said:

However for the record, Solar beam is bad, Sun is inferior to rain. Sun is inferior to sandstorm.
I also recognize the fact that these articles are written for "everyone". I also recognize that not everyone is familiar with the competitive scene for battling.
A little trading on the right boards can yield a lot of things

May attack or swords dance at +1speed
Now faces off against your switch in at +2 attack +2 speed.
Assuming a move pool of
swords dance
hi jump kick
Stone edge
flare blitz
Keeping in mind that a "counter" is something that hard checks a pokemon. Not comes in and forces out.
As for ninjask. Ninjask is 4x stealth rock weak. He cannot repeatedly switch in and do what he needs to in order to baton pass to someone else. He is also frail and vulnerable to priority. In addition by himself he is not a threat. Where Blaziken is. You are comparing 2 similar yet very different things.
Smogon makes its lists on what makes the most balanced metagame. So that the maximum number of pokes are viable. "Banning" a few individuals is only in the idea of promoting the metagame. However I also realize I'm talking to a brick wall for the most part.
