No because I'm underage (like that's stopped anyone before), but mostly I hate the taste, and I hate being drunk.

Being baked on the other hand..... That's a different story...

I just drink to seem sophisticated or manly...only when people or around though and as long as I don't have to pay for it. Oh 2 years underage and I've drunken like 3 times once when I was ...uhh 8 and I thought it tasted bad, once again when I was like 16 and every time I do math.

Been drinking since 15, and yeah if you can maintain the 'buzz' but not drink too much it's great.

Also, to people saying they don't like the taste, maybe they should try different types of alcohol/brands? Just saying, because I hate beer (especially 4X) but spirits such as vodka etc. are awesome. Don't judge something based on one experience.

I don't drink alcohol despite having been of legal age for 6 years now. Just don't like the taste of it and it didn't seem like a worthwhile effort to acquire it (the taste that is). I also don't like the idea of getting inebriated (wtf, spelled that correctly on the first try).

I will never drink, ever. It's disgusting to me, and I've had abusive / depressing family members in the past and saw how it handled. I also don't have the best control on my life, so I'd probably get addicted like a moron. Alcohol is a depressant, not an upper like people think.

Though some of my friends think I drink alcohol because I drink from bottles that look similar to wine bottles, but it's actually Sparkling Cider with no alcohol, I just like the taste of it as much as my soda. :)

23 years old and nope.

My dad was an alcoholic... I see no reason to tempt fate/genetics.

I'm underage but even when i'm allowed I don't want to drink alchohal, i've tried it before and it tastes awful and it's bad for you, but the problem is that i'm Irish and before you say "oh don't be so silly that's just some stereotype" becuase this stereotype is true and it actually is a serious problem.

This in every regard - except that I'm also alcohol intolerant.

Fuck no, shit tastes like crap, and the following hangover sucks something fierce.

I've never understood how people could like that stuff, really causes me to lose a lot of respect for people when I find out that they do drink it.

Very rarely, and when I do it needs to either not be strong, or mixed, because I apparently developed a really strong gag reflex when it comes to the taste of alcohol.

Edit:

If you want to get really, really technical, then you could say I have, but no I don't and haven't and I'm over the drinking age. I considered taking a drink the day before my 21st just for kicks and go "woo drinking illegally!!! k done" but I didn't. Generally I don't care if people do or how much unless it directly interferes with me, which it rarely does.

I will say this to all these people saying "never have, never will." You never know what will happen and what might change your mind. It may even just be curiosity. By the end of my four years at college, every single person I knew who at one point didn't drink (for various reasons) had at least tried drinking for a while (also for various reasons). If it wasn't for some unpleasant circumstances during my freshman year, I'd probably at least tried it out too.

I'm the guy who checks "Socially" on the questionnaires. Sometimes it's moderate and sometimes to excess. I'm not the biggest fan of the sauce, but a couple pints of Guinness do make me strong. (P(o)ints and a cookie for the reference in the end there.

EDIT: Just realised the irony of posting that with a Minor Threat avatar.

I put 'rarely', although it depends who I'm with. I think who you drink with decides how nice it is.

Yes. Definitely. It makes a night better, as long as you drink enough to distort the bad bits and give you some liquid courage. Not enough to have you wake up in your best mates shrubbery with sick down your favourite cardi.
