No, it is average for people to think that. Therefore you are average.Dr Jones said:Eh kinda intelligent (for my age). "Kinda intelligent", isn't that sorta like above average?
Oh, that one's easy. Take the duck across the river, since the fox won't eat the worm. go back and get the fox, bring it over, take the duck back with you, take the worm over to the side with the fox, go back and get the duck. I still hate those fox-duck-worm puzzles.

However, the given demographic of this site (male young adult gamers) likely IS a fair amount smarter than the average person, and this idea should certainly be taken into account. Additionally, the reason I voted for "fucking holy shit intelligent" as opposed to "kinda intelligent" is because the gap there is quite large, and I believe that I lean more towards the former. (Gloating/reasoning in the next paragraph)
I was in the top 7 in my class of 400, I got a 32 out of 36 on the ACT, when the nation-wide average for that year was a 21 (and I could have easily gotten a 33 if I had tried harder on the reading), yada yada. I have an ENORMOUS affinity for knowledge absorption, and although my motivation was dismal throughout grade school, it has since improved drastically. Wide vocabulary, wonderful logic-based thinking and a college-level reading level by 6th or 7th grade. An IQ of (depending on the test) 125-135...I'm in the top percent or top two percent, is what I'm trying to say. I'm certainly smart as hell, and I'm basically unbeatable within most of the people I know when I put my mind to it. While I know very little, I certainly know far more than the average person, who can hardly manage breathing and walking at the same time.
I don't really know what to make of this statement. Are you wise for recognizing most people inflate their own intelligence or are you an idiot trying to downplay the value of intelligence because you've never done that well along traditional lines? I don't mean any offense. I guess I don't know you well enough to make a call one way or the other, but I will say, there is certainly value in it. Try training two people of vastly different intelligences to perform a task. You will find rather swiftly that broad concept or not it can be ascertained, and it's value appraised in short order.Don Reba said:Most people think they are smarter than average. In my opinion, intelligence is too broad a concept to be of any value.
