I call it soda. I don't know why but it annoys me when people call it pop. Anything else doesn't bother me though...

We call it by it's name...

coke = coke
sprite = sprite
fanta = fanta
what do you do if you want to refer to any pop? do you just start listing it out?

"Do you have any Sprite? no? Pepsi? no? Coke? no? Fanta? no? Mountain Dew? no? Nesbitt Grape? no? Nehi Grape? no? Crush Orange? no? Dr. Pepper? no? Seven Up? no? Sierra Mist? no? Royal Crown Cola? no? Jolt Cola? no? A & W Root Beer? no? Hines Root Beer? no? Mug Root Beer? no? Goya Ginger Beer? no? Mr. Pibb? no? Tab? no? Squirt? no??"
pretty much, but we only have coke, pepsi, sprite, fanta(orange/grape/pineapple), seven up, and the green mountain dew...

I don't really call it anything, usually I will just call it a beverage or if I'm asking someone, I usually say "you want anything to drink?"

I'm from Ontario, Canada

I generally refer the brand drink for that type of drink (e.g. I say cream soda for that, Coca Cola, Pepsi etc) however most of the time I will just say "Coke".

I've always called it 'soda', though most people I've known call it 'pop.' Pop just seems a little too...I don't know, playful for my tastes.

i call it either soda or cola, and i live in chicago. though my parents come from the suburbs and cleveland ohio so that may have some effect (since i was pretty antisocial till high school, so didnt get much influence outside of my family and school, which was a private catholic school with the same 70 kids in my class for all 9 years i was there)

being from a "pop" state which has been experiencing an influx of people from "soda" states for a couple of decades... and having lived on three different continents in my life... I fluctuate between calling it "soda", "pop" and "soda-pop".

...I'll never understand people who call 7-up "cola" or "coke", though.
