Someone above me in this thread said it well and I'll use it to paraphrase your last point. Porn is good as long as nobody gets hurt, just don't go to porn as you first resort for love making advice.
To be honest, I'm rather desensitized to porn these days. Not because of over-exposure, but because if you have ever watched even one doco' on the industry you know it's completely faked to the 'enth degree. If I ever see porn these days my mind just doesn't get past the fact that they pose and position themselves for the best shot for the camera. It's actually pretty hilarious seeing something and not seeing the buxom woman on the bed, or the muscly guy behind her and just thinking "My god his back must be so sore from that position.", or "I wonder how much she paid for those hilarious implants?".

i dont really see much wrong with it apart from the fact that it gives people an expectation that girls should be as.. attractive as they are in it and guys should always be that well endowed.. but tbh apart from the small self confidence issues it gives some people i see no problems

Pornography is a misunderstood art, as much as erotica films are. As art it provokes your senses and makes you feel in a certain way. Due to how the content subject affects us all it has greater effect than most.
So if they'll ever be a carefully studied and well executed porn film then it may as well be considered a "mona lisa" for making every viewer's sex drives over the roof.
Its healthy and useful under certain circumstances. In excess, as much as anything else, can have bad effects.
Thankfully if you have a girlfriend/wife you don't need it; just better communcation, imagination and understanding. Then again it may be more practical to give a tape and do it later than talking about it.

I love porn of almost all types, I wouldn't be offended to see any type of it anywhere in the world and in all honesty, I can't understand how people are offended by porn in public (not including, obviously, the porns made of illigal acts)

Back to the topic... i would just like to point out that if ur single then u dont have anyone elses feelings to consider. But when ur in a relationship u do. Would it be really that bad if ur partner (guy or girl) asked u to stop watching porn they feel a little degraded or whatever by it, would it be such a big thing to give it up? yes, u may argue that that would be ur partner trying to "change you" but lack of porn is not changing who you are. i would feel that a person quitting smoking would be a bigger deal, yet people do that all the time for their partners.

I actually would consider asking a partner to give up porn to be slightly a big deal, atleast in this situation. You recognize the fact that you don't really enjoy sex so right there you and your partners sex drives are way out of sync.
