For me, who will almost certainly never see a (Real) girl naked, porn is my only option, really.

I lead a sad, sad life.

Pornography is comepletely fine.
Sexual urges are part of being a living creature.
Its safer then regular sex, lets you live out any fantasy you wish, and doesnt require all the work relationships take.

Do i watch or read porno? Nope. The sound of fleshy thighs slapping against eachother kinda sickens me.

What baffles me about porn is that often the most popular porn stars are the most hideously deformed.

Like how can anyone look at Jesse Jane and think she's remotely attractive? Her face is busted, her body is artificial and very badly constructed, and she's annoying as hell. And yet all I ever see is people going on and on about how great she is. She's the very embodiment of the word "skank", and that just doesn't interest me in porn.
I agree, thats something I really dont understand about the industry and personally I don't like very much. I find natural looking actresses are much better, Lexi Belle if you have to be specific :p

OT: But anyway, everyone to their own, I watch it occasionally and I would count myself as fairly normal and I have a relationship atm. She knows I do and is fine with it, she understands that she can't be around all the time (we often go several weeks without seeing each other) and it helps to relax and de-stress

I love it, I admit it and I have no shame in it.

I think it's certainly something needed in moderation, but if you handle it well then there's no problem. Plus it gives me and the lady some ideas of our own too :p We like it, it's even funny sometimes and we're tongue in cheek about it all. I prefer the amateur stuff over the "professional" stuff. It's just way too fake for me to get aroused by, I like natural beauty.

I agree, though by "natural" I don't mean "hairy". I prefer no hair down there, but a little is tolerable.

What's sad is that my favorite, Rebeca Linares, just got an obnoxious looking boob job. Tragic day.

also, i know this is slightly off topic and that i will have to check the answer in the morning coz im so tired that the screen in blurry, but i have to ask (all girls wonder this by the way): i know a lot of girls who have dumped their boyfriends coz whenever they said no, they got pissed off with them. do guys really need it that much, or did they have some self control issues?
Some people are arseholes. Avoid them. Yeah, we like sex, but they DEFINITELY had self-control issues there.

I would comment but all this talk of porn gives me need to relieve myself.

Joking aside, It's nothing more than a substitute for imagination while masturbating and nothing more.Simples.

I find it better than the imagination because with porn it's something you can see with your eyes rather than something made up in your head.

For the record, there IS a difference between a pre-historic fertility image and porn. Things like the Woman of Willendorf were created to basically capture the idea being represented. They want to be able to do well on hunts? They 'capture' the animals in cave paintings. They want to increase the fertility rates? They 'capture' the idea of exaggerated female qualities, like overlarge breasts, hips, and exposed vulvas. Though almost all of those really early examples don't even have spread legs, but rather the legs together with an incised line to show where the edges of the 'lips' are. Really the greater focus is on the breasts and hips in most of those fertility drawings/statues.

Now, in the case of male imagery there does tend to be more of an emphasis on the penis, such as... I think it's either Osiris or Anubis who's often pictured as erect in Egyptian imagery. However this is another set of symbolics and usually doesn't actually have anything to do with sex or fertility. It's a display of power, just like how more powerful people are drawn at a larger scale in the traditional Egyptian styles, such as the court only coming up to the Pharaoh's knee. So they're saying that he's the big man on campus because he's got the biggest stick, basically.

As for porn itself, it's like anything else which can cause an addiction. If you can't make yourself stop watching it then you have a problem, but it's not inherently bad (though I'm very VERY :/ about anything involving rape fantasies). Same thing for the occasional drinker versus an alcoholic, or someone who plays WoW and someone who devotes their life to WoW.

Thank you, OP, for speaking your mind and bringing up a conversation I feel is kinda needed.

OT: I like porn occasionally. Not too often, and I feel kinda bad when I'm in a relationship, but I do enjoy it as a simple pleasure. I don't really see anything wrong with it. As for degrading women... I can see that, but I'm not really worried about or anything.

It's not just guys who do this. I'm a lesbian, 22, and a virgin because I'm not going to throw myself at the first girl who glances at me. While there were other issues involved in my last breakup, my not wanting to have sex was definitely in the top three.

People don't seem to realize that it's not 'guys are pigs.' Or in fact 'gays are sluts' but that's another rant. The issue is that some people are pigs and gender makes little difference. It's not like a girl can't pressure her boyfriend into having sex, it's just that with today's social conventions if the guy told everyone this is why they broke up he'd be laughed out of the school, where the girl can have the entire female population of the town against the ex-boyfriend in an hour.

Yeeehhhhh... I couldn't care less about porn. It's obviously pleasurable and I'm not arguing that it isn't, but...

OK: Porn is like Combat Arms - both are time wasters that are cheap knockoffs of the real deal.

Well to tell the truth, I used to actually more or less skip the 'action' and just laugh at the oh so horrible and cheesy excuse for a story. I'm not really for or against it I guess, it's a free world, as long you don't 'harm' anyone why not.(wasn't there a time where playboy was a beacon of light in the feminists movements after all? I might be mistaken)

Well to be honest porn is used as a masturbation aid and because of that I use it daily. Hey I am a single guy who works hard for his living and wants some release. Does that make me a bad person? besides if the woman is consenting in the movie and both of then get paid for their work then no harm no foul.

I suppose I don't have a problem with it, but I don't really care that much either.
