PSP Is Go!

You'd think they'd have realized that everyone wanted a second analogue stick - then I would have bought it - as it stands its just a rehash of my current PSP. I just want a portable games console I can play JRPG's on - is that to much to ask?

Why would you need a second analogue stick to play JRPGs?

You know I answered that exact question...its in the post above this one - but I'll reply again for the sake of it.

The points themselves are not connected, I would like a second analogue stick because I find the camera controls generally annoying or painful on the current PSP.

The JRPG comment was to do with the systems distinct lack of good JRPG's.

This looks like a load of crap. there was one thing and one thing only wrong with the original psp, it needs two analogs.

Seriously? I'd say the PSP's lineup of JRPGs is excellent, almost as good as the PS2's. It's lineup of TRPGs is also second to none. Which ones have you played that were so disappointing?

I disliked FF: Crisis Core for one. I guess Monster Hunter could also be classed as a JRPG. I didn't realize there was a Valkarya (spelling?) Profile game and the early Star Oceans out for the PSP though - Might have to check them out.

Valkyrie profile is a real tough one time find unless you use online, and the Star Ocean remakes are pretty good especially if you enjoy star ocean to begin with. Have you played Jeanne D'arc? really good, if not innovative, SRPG by level 5. There's also FFT but you probably have played that and there's Disgaea. Persona remake, Lunar, Ys, Crimson Gem Saga, Yiggdra Union, Disgaea 2, Tales of games, class of Heroes, and some others I can't immediately remember are on the system and are being made. I hope some of that helped peak your interest at the very least.

I honestly don't know about this. I likely won't be getting it (due to lack of a second analog nub), but I've always admired the PSP for pushing the boundries of handhelds. It's just that I can't stand the idea of only having one stick.

Maybe I'll get one anyway, depends on how well it handles. If nothing else, it could serve as a handy MP3 player/movie veiwer/whatever I want to mod it to be.

@D_987: If you don't mind downloading just go to hakopsp: pretty much every PSP game ever released has been uploaded there.

I'm not one to pirate - I'm looking into buying the two Star Ocean PSP ports - the 4th game in the series will be released next week in the UK and I've already pre-ordered it - thanks for the help, and I was about to waste a whole lot of money on a DS...
