Only 37 minutes left!

The anticipation is making me tired...

EDIT: I hope the chap who predicted this has prepared his servers for the vast (should I say... 'apocalyptic'? Teehee) amount of mockery that will descend on him from the intertubes...

I presume that the Rapture would be pretty poor.

What is the requirement to get into heaven then?
Do I have to believe in God?
Do I have to ask for forgiveness from God?
Is it enough to ask for forgiveness, but not believe in him?
Or is too late ( If rapture is tomorrow) to do any of those things?

I wish the rapture would hurry up already. That way people will stop going on about the end of
the world and we can get back to doing important stuff. Like... frisbee, or stockbrokering.
Important stuff.

Yeah, I've already proved the muppet wrong. It's a beautiful, sunny May 21st with no apocalypse in sight :>

You know with all the "end of the world!!" parties people are planning (both sarcastically and sincerely). I'm starting to think whoever is spreading these rumors is just looking for an excuse to throw a party

I'm speaking to you from the world beyond. It is half an hour into the Rapture here. Things are looking spiffy.

Well, I have my first date tomorrow, which might explain why people think the world's going to end.
Lol ^_^

Good luck and remember to just enjoy yourself; most importantly though: don't act like someone you're not.
Thanks for the advice :) I'm not quite as nervous as I thought I'd be.

You know what my favorite thing is about the doom sayers? When the day passes, where are they then? Where are their loud mouthed boastful, fear mongering words then? They always seem to just be forgotten.

I think I will never, ever understand how people can put so much into something that they have no real incentive to believe...I mean people are selling their fucking possessions in preparation for this thing man.

Incidentally, what is the purpose of that? If the world is to end then who needs possessions anyway, why not just hold on to them just in case...
Why the hell would you do something as stupid as that? You wouldn't need the money or the possessions if it truly is judgement day, it only shows your true greed in times of panic.

OT: Ain't shit all I can do about it. If it is the day that God picks those who will go to heaven then I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I make the cut. I am in serious doubt over it mind, I've never been the guy who can recite the 10 commandments, let alone obey all of them that are in the bible.

What I think is largely irrelevant at this point, it either happens or it doesn't.

So, this whole thing is news to me. To busy reading post-apocalyptic fiction to notice this doomsday.

Well, tomorrow I'll wake up and have survived my second 'end of the world' scare as my memory serves, a nice resume addition. Though you know what they say, third time's the charm and all, so when is the next one?

oh, 2012?

...well darn, we're screwed.

iirc selling all of your possesions is actually a requirement to get into heaven.

On topic: I don't understand why so many people are getting this wrong. It's Ragnarok tomorrow. Nobody will be saved. Bar the two that the remaining gods select. You are on your way to destruction. You have no chance to survive make your time.

It's 21st here already. No rapture in sight. Which is good, I get to finish LA Noire before I get cast down to hell.
...Odds are if you weren't chosen you wouldn't notice anything until at least the 22nd anyway...
Not true. Surely the "saved" will have ascended and people would notice that, y'know, half the population has gone missing? Assuming the saved float up to heaven and the rest of us wallow around here for five months until we get sent to hell for being the naughty peons that we are, i'm pretty sure people would notice their loved ones had gone missing if they were 'saved' while the others were not.

OT: I can't believe how adamantly people are willing to believe things like this. The world isn't going to end. Not now, not a hundred years from now, only when the sun burns out, explodes, and engulfs the entire solar system. We had a better chance of it being the end of the world during the Y2K panic when computers would go apeshit than we do of any 'divine apocalypse'.
