The reasons for people having an issue with this range from everything from being creeped out by the age gab (Jack is in his 70s-80s by this point) to thinking it's cliche, to just kinda bleh, Tumblr is being stereotyped again.
Physically he is about 30-40, possibly not even 30. And (if you really, really want to take a cartoon so seriously), probably a virgin with little experience with women. His reaction to her naked was borderline teenager level showing a repressed culture.

Not really getting the arguments how this was rushed. From episode 2 to 8, it went from her almost killing him, to be being captured, starting to see he wasn't what she was led to believe, being converted, saving him, protecting him as he rediscovered himself e.t.c.. Both characters went through an arc of character developments intertwined and this seems like a logical culmination. He didn't just pull it out his ass.
It has nothing to do with his physical appearance. There was a Green Lantern comic that dealt with an underage girl trying to be with the main character by transforming her body into that of a full grown woman. The problem with that is that, emotionally, she's still underage. There's a massive gap between the two in that regard, doubly so in that, in a lot of ways, Ashi is very emotionally stunted due to her emotionally suppressed upbringing. You can't just shake that off, and Jack's lack of having sex has very little impact on it.

Never said anything about it being rushed. I said that it was considered to be cliche and bleh.

I don't mind it, but the people who have issues with it aren't complaining about nothing.
I'd argue Jack himself is pretty stunted emotionally as well. From a young age he was sent off and shipped around the world to be prepared to kill Aku, so you know he didn't have the same experience in his teens.

And he may of live 50 extra years, but they've been stagnant with Jack surviving, not challenging himself or growing as a person.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

The pacing of this season has been great imo, can't wait for the blue-ray to watch it all in oner.

Bit disappointment the big blue man ain't about, but the unexpected twist made up for it.

It's like Episode 3 where the Emperor uses Anikin's wuv against him, but not shit. With abit of ROTJ thrown in.

To everyone who complained about Ashi being pointless filler -

SCARAMOUCHE IS BACK, AND HAS A NEW BEAUTIFUL BODY, BABY! YOU CAN'T KILL THE MUS- Aaand he's gone. Oh well,
See You Scat Robot...

Okay, so now i really hope the finale will be a two-parter, because i can't see this being resolved that quickly.

As for THE ending,
obviously Jack will kill Aku, but considering how Ashi was revealed to be partially made of his dark essence... i suspect Aku perishing might affect her, and not in a good way.
Oh and WHERE THE FUCK IS SCOTSMAN?

Okay so I just watched it, and is there really only one episode left? 'cause there are so many cliffhangers. The scotsman's daughters, is Ashi's mother really dead, Ashi herself, Jack vs Aku, etc, when is Jack going to become the greenmist samurai, etc...

Also wasn't it obvious who Ashi's father was? Like, didn't they say in the very first scene of ep1 that they were Aku's children? Or did I just assume that? That seems like a pretty weak twist.

The first few episodes were so good. The pacing after say ep3 has really suffered.

They were called "The Daughters of Aku" which honestly felt more like a cult name (especially since we only see female cult members) than an actual description of who they were

Plus in the first couple episodes Aku didn't know who they were or that they were hunting jack which made the connection between the two unlikely

Personally my money was on them being Jacks kids but oh well
Huh. I took it as very literal, given how many there were. No father, like a dozen identical kids with spiked 'Aku' haircuts and hate the Samurai. Totally just assumed Aku was the father the entire time.

I mean they have made it clear there is no father present if the father wasn't supposed to be a big secret or twist. If they were just some random's dudes, they would have shown his body, throat slit, after he preformed his duties.

The Horsemen was not Jack at all, just some spirit of Death that judges Jack as failure and seduces Jack to commit suicide for failing his Purpose.

Have you not seen the episode?

But yes the Pacing suffered immensly, and I have been hearing around that it was the creator Genndy himself that asked for 10 episodes, but than again that was just comments so I have not checked the sources.

Yeah, but remember when he fought the Guardian? This part?

He's not even close to that level of badass yet!

So far this is clearly a situation of "Ending Change" they clearly scraped the prior idea for the climax in favor of something more appealing to them in their minds.

Where instead of Jack being a Badass War-king that gathers an Army to defeat Aku:

In favor of something more deeper and personal. Jack is now clearly a damaged man, he has no home to go to, he's alone, he went through suicidal depression and the only thing he had going was his relationship with Ashi and now that is going to be taken from him.

Do I think this is preferable than what the original climax was gonna be like? DOn't know have to see what will actually happen next week, but I am calling that its gonna be a rather dissapointing one.

This season needed more than 10 episode each 30 minutes long, its like they blew their load in Episode 2 and 3.

I think it'd have been cool if they did an establishing flashback episode, where Jack does get that badass, does get an army together, and lays siege to Aku. Huge epic Siege of Terra type punch-up!
and they lose!
Aku wins, shatters the army, killing the Scotsman, and then breaks the time portal and kills the Guardian. And that's why Jack is all depressed. He had hit shot and missed and everyone dies.

Instead they are going for the Beserk angle because so many people are seeing clear comparisons of Jack and Ashi's relationship to Guts and Casca:

My guess is it will be a Dark Knight thing where we get a "You don't fear death torture soul bla bla bla bla" since he thinks he can't be killed now.

Then Jack will lead an army and we will get a King Conan ending.

I will say Aku was great in this last episode.

"AHAHAHAHA, SAMURAI JACK, I HEAR YOU LOST YOUR SWORD!" *sees sword* "..." *kills Scaramouche* "Welp, it's been great! See ya!"

Classic Aku.

Damn it Jack, that's the second time you fell in love with a fragment of Aku. Either stick your sword or your dick in him, but just choose already.
If you're referring to Ikra, that wasn't a fragment. That was just Aku in disguise.

Third time if you count the comics
