I put about 10-20 hours into that game and it was all lost when my brother got it into his head that no one was playing it.

I had been an idiot and bought Sonic and the Secret Rings. The controls pissed me off and more then once I threw the game at a wall. Finally there was this one level where no matter where I went an enemy would spawn in front of me knocking me backwards into spikes. But not before taking away my rings of course.

Elder Scrolls: Morrowind for the Xbox.
I put 25+ hours into that A.D.D. child of a RPG and then lost it all when my brother decided that no one was playing it and deleted the files.

Second Life.
I wanted to get into it. But it wasn't the virtual sex, downloadable penies, or gender-confused furries that caused my decision to abandon it. It was the fact that it was boring.

Burnout Domination for the 360.
Because I already played and finished a game like it: Burnout 3.

Sonic Heroes for the PS2
I just didn't like it. The little casino mission was a pain and lacked the enjoyable glee of the Sonic 2 it wanted to be.

Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii
It was... just too sugar-coated bunny rabbit happy. Controls were also awkward.

Rouge Galaxy for the PS2
It wasn't Skies of Arcadia.

The SOCOM series
Too complicated for my confused little mind.

That did feel half arsed. It felt like they'd given up just as they got going. And, as you say, just repeated the previous game.

Have you ever had a "Screw This Game" moment?

I just had mine. Playing Far Cry 2, which for some reason dosen't have an auto-save feature. I did a lot of missions, went to a bus stop, and the game crashes. Easily an hour of progress lost. "Whatever", I thought. I should have saved, my bad. I start the game up again and do a couple of the missions. "Aha! I've learned my lesson, I'll save".

The game freezes in the menu screen.



On a sidenote, should I keep playing Far Cry 2, or should I just give up?


EDIT: It can go fuck itself.

If it's on the PC, f5 to quick save. Quick save is just like a regular save, except it takes practically no effort.

For awhile, it was enjoyable. I rented it and played it with a friend for a Vault-fueled all nighter. When I bought it a few months later, it felt average.

First time I ever tried playing it, I snagged an M4 carbine and wandered the goddamn map. Find terrorist, proceed to jam 5.56 up his ass. Have him turn, fire about two shots, and I die. See his health afterwards, and he's not even below 50%. Given that I had body armor on...

Fuck that game.
