So, anybody else finding the 'pick up with circle' and the 'R1 push stools into enemies' mechanic not as responsive as they would like? Because I've been having a bit of trouble getting it to register properly. And I think it's because I'm pressing the button down too hard/long, by which I mean longer than the game apparently wants me to, which seems to be less than half a second.

All I do is rapidly press the circle button when I'm near a weapon. More responsive and you won't throw it away. I don't have that upgrade yet where you can kick things into people. So I can't comment, but I'm assuming it's the same. Just press that button rapidly when you interact with an environment that's kickable. I know I never held the circle button.

Thanks for answering my question, @BrawlMan

I agree the difficulty "debate" will flare up but more likely with Elden Ring, and that I also don't care.

I'll almost certainly pick this up over the weekend.
I also wonder if any of the slight differences of opinion on reaction, enemy reads, etc are based on platform? I remember when Sekiro there was some debate about PS4 having "lag" compared to PC, I wonder if there's any of the same thing potentially.

You are welcome. As far as I know all versions work the same. I haven't heard any cases of "lag"so far. Have fun and don't be afraid. This applies to everyone else playing the game or thinking of playing it.

Here's some motivation for everyone.

Makes me wish Sifu was rated M tbh.
Think Critical, think! They need dat teen 💰!

In all seriousness, I have no problem with the Teen rating. A lot of the weapons and moves have impact, and at least you get blood effects when using a bladed weapon. You can even slit people's throats as a finishing move if you use a sword or a machete. There's even a little blood effect there too. I am satisfied.

I finished the Museum and made it the Tower (Stage 4) at age 68. I'm gonna have to go back to stage 2 again and do better.

I did better this time, and got to stage 3 at 32. The Tower I got to there at age 54. I got to the boss and died, but now I have the means to get towards the short cut. The running trip attack is so exploitable to most most mooks and some elites, if you stun them beforehand. I am stopping for today, as I might either go back to the Club or Museum again.

I find it strange that the 3rd boss has an annoying first phase, but her second phase is almost easy by comparison.

Congrats SIFU!

Well the difficulty modes will be happening, so those complaining can shut up now.

Not surprising.

I beat Sean at 56, and fuck is he annoying to fight. He's not even particularly hard, but the way he instantly fucks off out of reach after a combo during the second phase just pisses me off.

Yeah. I found some exploits that makes his first phase almost easy. The second phase has some exploits, but they're much harder to pull off. I managed to beat him at 32, so I will try again later.

Update - I finally beat Sean at an appropriate age. I died twice. Once from one of the mini bosses at the 3rd trial, and once from him. Now at age 23. So now I can have much easier time at the museum level. O already have the shortcuts, so I am good.

I have to say I found the museum level remarkably easy compared to the club. Not that I finshed the museum, but starting it at age 56 I was kinda mopping the floor with everyone.
