my dad tried to get me to come out of the closet and my mother keeps leaving gay literature in my room...
most awkward conversation though was finding out how i was concived and that im an accident.
Oh God, that's awful.

My sister got something similar a few years ago, when our mom told her that "no child is ever planned."

Oh, and another awkward mom conversation came when she tried to have "the talk" with me. I was 19 at the time.
3 of my mother's 4 children were accidents (#3 was intentional, as it was to be the child between my mother and her current husband [guy #2]), and all were conceived while she was on birth control. I never thought it to be all that big of a deal, even though I am #1.

What was awkward was finding out I was nearly aborted- and that I would have been abortion #2.

And while in high school, my mom went through phases. Freshmen year, it was accusing me of sneaking out in the night for sex. Sophomore year, it was accusing me of doing drugs. Junior year, she up and asked me if I'm gay.

Then she stopped watching Oprah. I haven't heard an accusation since.

In middle school I joined the wrestling team. After one day at practice I was asked by my mum, "So how does your penis compare to the rest of the boys?"

I really didn't know how to respond to that. I was only 14. W.T.F.

Once, I accidentally saved and quit Firefox with a porn video minimized instead of just quitting. This wouldn't have been a problem, normally. But for some reason, my dad stayed home, needed to use my computer, and used Firefox instead of Safari. Most awkward conversation ever, and it will never be more awkward. It wouldn't even be more awkward if I found out about my kids watching porn, I'd just kinda go "yep" and not say anything. I don't want my damn kids to know that I know they jerk off.

Turns out I was adopted but not really.
I grew up thinking my grandma was my mom when it turns out the girl that I've been calling my sister was my mom.
She was 15 when she had me and I wasn't even meant to happen.
God that sucked hearing.
I do believe that's a winner. Rough stuff.

Weirdest conversation i had with a parent, wasn't with one of my parents.

I was dating some chick who was open with her mum about all details of her life. So it was no secret to her when we started sleeping together.
One day me and this girl are watching tv and her mum pokes her head through the door and asks me if i needed "Extra large or regular condoms for tonight". It was a conversation kept brief but a part of me died from shock and embarassment.

Well, I just got done explaining Mr. Hands to my mom. That was awkward, even though we did both burst out laughing after I'd finished telling her.

What's wrong with this? Pokemon's awesome no matter how old you are. In fact I recently found out I can legitimately catch Mew in the first Pokemon, man finding that pink cat-thing in-game was awesome.

Either when I came out of the closet, or when my mum asked me ".... so how DO lesbians make love?"

And then referred to orgasm as "feeling special". *shudder*

Well, I had a great (rolls eyes) one today.

Edit: Oh yeah, and my mom has several times jokingly told me that she got me in order to get out of military service.
Is military service in Norway compulsory for women? :|
Yes. Though, you can refuse, and instead have to do social service.

Or, well, it's a bit complicated now. A while back, almost all people had to do military sevice; but these days the military doesn't want you if you have a small injury.
Why on Earth does Norway of all places have compulsory military service? I can't think of anybody who'd want to attack you guys.
SOMEONE MIGHT WANT OUR OIL!! WE NEED TO PROTECT IT, IT'S OUR OIL!!!!!!!

On a serious note, it might have something to do with tradition. We have had laws about compulsory military service since the viking-age. Also, we were infact invaded by Germany in 1940-something. You see, due to the country's geography, it is of incredible strategic value in naval warfare.

We also have a small population (under 5 million), so to be able to keep a military running, we almost have to have compulsory military service.

Also, we have realized that times are peaceful, so we are scaling down the military. They did not want me, for example.

Well I remember my mum telling me that she was perfectly fine with me being gay, although I wasn't... But that only got awkward when she suggested setting me up with a womans son who she works with >.<
Personally, I was in a conversation with my mum on how I have many gay friends and I got the question "So, do I need to ask if you are?", which I could just reply with "Would it matter if I was?" (which strangely enough is exactly how I came out to my sister too). Thankfully I haven't had the problem of any blind dates set up for me...

when my mom wanted to talk to me about sex. but when she walking in and was like "Kevin we need to talk... about sex" i was like "FUCK MA! the school has already taken care of that!"

she replied with "oh. ok then. well what did you learn?"

she wouldn't leave until i told her all the school had taught me about sex.

Never really have awkward conversations with my parents. I've gone out of my way in my teen years to abolish all forms of taboos and "Things I can't talk with my parents" because I didn't want to be that immature about it. I mean, christ, you're parents are the ultimate familiars, there is nothing you shouldn't be able to talk about with them.

I would say that time that I heard them doing it through the walls. But I've heard it so often and on such a regular basis that I've gotten used to it.
And other than that, I can't remember anything really awkward with my parents. They're pretty open about everything, and so am I. So nothing to worry about there.

Contrary to the majority here... My life seems bleak in this area :D Not even that gay thing occurred, nothing... kinda disappointing.
But on the other hand, having seen my parents drunk dancing at the table in a bar was embarrassing enough :D
