Sony Exec: Bungie Deal Gives PS3 Fans "Halo on Steroids"

As a PS3 owner I could care less, its not gonna stop the console from staying in its shameful corner, not until a new Elder Scrolls or something actually worth spending my money on comes out. I wonder how conflicted PS3 Fanboys are now that the game they've been discrediting may be released on their sacred platform.

I wonder if there's any chance of some new Bungie games coming to the PC, I'd be interested to try Halo: Reach if it was coming to the PC, sadly I don't buy consoles (Not a fan of the whole subscription online etc style things with the Xbox, and the PS3 is expensive :O)

But Bungie have been out of PC gaming for a while, though maybe that was just Microsoft bigging up their console. And Activision have been fairly good releasing on PC (milk a game for every dollar it can possibly earn).

But last time I played Halo (Hola Tres) it was kinda lame. Never found Bungie THAT exciting, maybe a new deal is what they need.

There is no subscription with the PS3, however you're perfectly right to remain with PS3 gaming.

It better not be PS3 exclusive! Them guys(Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo) need to just work together to make the SINGLE GREATEST CONSOLE EVER! Because this "Hey guys! We have ~*MGS*~ so come play ours!" is getting old and forcing my friends to fight over whats better just because of single games.

Well, I just got a PS3 so I guess I'm in luck ^_^

I'm really more of an Xbox360 fan (the PS3 game roster wasn't impressive), but if future games are anything like how amazingly awesome God of War 3 turned out to be, I may just have to change my mind.

No, it's a NEW IP. That means a new game. A new story. A new world. Maybe the star will be voiced by Nathan Fillion or, if female, Summer Glau (one can dream, can't they?).

I wouldn't bank on it, you get hands on talent like that you are damn sure going to make a killing with it! Call of Duty: Halo? May as well combine the biggest online shooters to make ridiculous cash!

I just thought that needed to be said. Bungie has said many times that they're not making any more Halo games after Reach, at least not for a long time. They will be working on new IP with Activision. This is just Seybold talking out of his ass trying to sell it.

That being said, I'm not excited to see this. As long as Activision keeps a hand-off policy, I'll be fine, but I don't want them diluting anything that Bungie makes in the future.

I'm not much of a Halo fan, but I am a fan of getting rid of third party console exclusives. Now all I'm waiting for is Bioware to make the Mass Effect games cross-platform. It's going to happen eventually.

They don't own Halo (Microsoft does) and they don't own Bungie. Best Activision can do is cut their contract with them, that's it. It's not like IW.
