Not really...the PS3 controller isn't really good for FPS's...the L2/R2 would be good triggers if they weren't so awkwardly shaped. That is a minor gripe though: I liked the numerical Halo series. I have yet to try any of the others [except for the Halo Wars demo a year or so ago]

Sony is welcoming Bungie with wide-open arms.
Three words: No [Beeping] Duh!

Anyway I personally find this prospect quite exciting. Though the paring with Activiton quite honestly scares me a bit. However I have always had some faith in Bungie and from what I read they made their terms quite clear when they signed on. Activision can't afford to screw this up after what happened to IW.

I'm not so much excited as I am perplexed why someone would sign up with Activision after ALL the bullshit they did to Infinity Ward, the guys who made them more money than any video game company in history and Activision screwed the entire group over.

Did they forget to mention that Activision uses Steam as well, which means... BUNGIE ON STEAM!
God I hope your right. I'd love to play Reach online without paying for something I get free on other platforms.
Bungie does not own Halo. MICROSOFT DOES. Now think about that for a second. Probably why they made sure they kept their IPs.

And suddenly, the waves of Bungie-haters fell silent.
But the Activision haters (and really, who doesen't like to hate on Activision) will be out in full storm. Me? I'm just confused.

GameSpot: So you knew you didn't want to go with a platform holder?

Bunjie: I wouldn't say we 100 percent knew, but it's clear from the beginning our intent as storytellers and people that create universes, we were looking for the largest audience we could get. We're excited by the prospect of having new avenues to reach out to fans, new touch points, new interesting engagements and interactions that wouldn't be limited to a single box.
Sorry Sony, no Halo for only you!

I would have been excited if they said Halo:Reach was going to the PS3 since thats the only HALO game I'm actually interested in since Halo 1. But no, I am not immensely excited as most cross platform games have come to disappoint me, but if Bungie decides to make some exclusives for the PS3 I'll be glad to drool in excitement.

"Congrats to Bungie. Marrying their creative minds and incredible talent to the power of PS3 will be like giving PS3 fans Halo on steroids."
Is it just me, or does he sound like a bit of a presumptuous dick?

He's acting as if they've just announced that they're only making PS3 stuff.
Maybe they already inked a deal? Higher ups usually arent that confident unless some deal is in the works.

Didn't Bungie say that Reach would be the last Halo game for quite a while? So... PS3 won't be getting Halo, will they?

Well, Bungie games haven't been fun since Infinity but it is nice that Xbox fanboys can finally STFU about their precious exclusive. Everyone who believed in PS3 said it was only a matter of time and now look? Xbox is losing it's exclusives, while PS3 is gaining them

Get ready to have the same bungie game released every year
Get ready? They are already doing that with Halo! They are perfect for Activision!
If Bungie really wanted to do that they should have approached EA instead.

But on topic, I have access to a PS3 and an Xbox, so it wont really make a difference to me whether or not they start making exclusives. But if they do, it might be a good thing for PS3 owners, since, in my opinion, the best thing about the Halo series was its co-op gameplay, which PS3 games often lack. (Cos PS3 owners have no friends, or something)

I don't know . . . wait. This is from the press release.\

Today, we're poised to open a new chapter in Bungie's history--one that begins with a partnership between Bungie and Activision and ends where we always knew it would, with World Domination. Our Next Big Thing now has a concrete path, leading from our studio to the platforms of our choosing. The business formalities are behind us. Our Constitution remains unchanged. We are still Bungie, still independent, and now we are free to bring our stories to an ever bigger audience.

It all makes sense now. Only such evil would allow them to proceed with their plans. Plus Activision would have the necessary funds and connections to help further such a goal. However I predict nether wants to share power. So who's going to backstab who I wonder?

If it's Halo 2 quality games, then: Hell yes I'm excited!

If it's what they've been spewing out recently, then: Meh.

Hope not.
Personally I think Halo is overrated and Bungie could probably make something a lot more fun.

I wonder if there's any chance of some new Bungie games coming to the PC, I'd be interested to try Halo: Reach if it was coming to the PC, sadly I don't buy consoles (Not a fan of the whole subscription online etc style things with the Xbox, and the PS3 is expensive :O)
THIIIIS!!!

But Bungie have been out of PC gaming for a while, though maybe that was just Microsoft bigging up their console. And Activision have been fairly good releasing on PC (milk a game for every dollar it can possibly earn).

But last time I played Halo (Hola Tres) it was kinda lame. Never found Bungie THAT exciting, maybe a new deal is what they need.
