Also I heard a school banned the Escapist. Because apparently the reason was, "No games allowed." The fuck, the Escapist is smarter then most shit they're teaching kids.

My friend kissed his girlfriend on the cheek, outside of school, before school had started. He got a three day suspension.

My school are strict, but not all that nuts. I mean, I have to wear a neat uniform, but I'm fine with it. I go to a private school for posh people, I expected nothing less.

My school had uniforms and you clearly have no idea just how much trouble the prevent, It practically erases a whole aspect of bullying, in that you cant get slagged for what you wear because everyone is wearing the exact same thing.

I refuse to wear a uniform; to me it symbolizes subservience and being like everyone else...two things I am against.

Err, isn't Communist Russia like the poster child of uniformity and obedience? I think you're just being obnoxious and looking for confrontation. You'd do better by just going about your day and not paying attention to the fact that you're already doing the same shit as everyone else.

Communist Russia never existed. The USSR was trying to start a communist society (and made it to the socialist phase), but as soon as Stalin rolled in, it was turned into a totalitarian dictatorship...which is the very opposite of a communist society. In fact, communism when fully executed is actually a form of anarchy. This is an honest mistake on your part, and I understand; the government did a very good job with its anti-communist propaganda.

Yea that's all very well and good, but that doesn't change the fact that the majority of people would see that as a sign of communist Russia and therefore the things I mentioned in my prior post. I'm just saying that if you want to make a statement, it needs to be understandable before it can make effect. Otherwise the only person you're making a statement to is yourself.

I try to make a point out of educating those around me on matters I have knowledge of. If everyone did that, the world would be a much better place.

My school bans the Escapist. True, it's a private school so I do technically get educated, but I cannot access any sites short of Wikipedia, or the BBC. We have really, really strict probation internet-wise.

Those are the exact words, "rocket launchers". We got the updated handbook today and thats still in it.

The explanation for it it is "now you can't say we didn't tell you."

today at school I just discovered a new rule (They aren't really written anywhere students can access) If you're on the computer during a teacher 'work check', any porn on the browser history is blamed on you, no matter what time it was viewed. I swear to God I was just viewing tvtropes.com (awesome site) because I finished my work and the porn was from THREE FUCKING HOURS AGO! It was clearly one of the Grade 12s but she didn't listen, she said that I could change the dates easily which demonstrates her computer knowledge.

tl;dr porn on computer is blamed on who's on it at the time.

Hmmmmm, well now that we have a new principle most of those dumb ass rules, have vanished. But I still don't like the get suspended for self defence one.

In primary school (Junior high) when we went out for recess or yard time as we called it we weren't aloud in groups bigger than 3 and we weren't aloud to run.

It really is, in My school, swearing, gum, hats, anything other than a polo shirt, and not going along with the stupid student council theme days (like 80's days and Space day), i once got a detention for having a laser pointer attached to a zipper on my bookbag.

Honestly? You are only allowed on Wikipedia and the BBC? That's ridiculous, i mean our teachers don't allow us to use Wikipedia because of its reputation for inaccuracies.

OT: My schools not that bad, the standard no cell phones, hats, ipods in class. They're really lax with boys dress code, we can basically wear whatever pleases us. It's a different story for the girls though, as they're always trying to wear much to short skirts and such, and get subsequently punished. Not that I'm complaining about there dress...
