It is certainly better than what Jim Lee designed. The boots are the wrong colour and they went for trousers instead of what she has in the comics but its not bad. Its colourful and it at least looks like the real thing. I give it 7/10 (not that it matters)

I'm glad they didn't, compared to her proper outfit Jim Lee's attempt just uninteresting and doesn't have enough colour.

Thankfully the reboot is only temporary and will be going away very soon (it ends in June)

That costume is so tacky. You don't wear boot spandex. Also looks way to shiny.
Yeah, it just looks... cheap. It looks like a plastic costume you'd buy for $20 at a costume store.

Between the Party City costume and god-awful hints of the plot to come, it begs the question: What does it mean for pop-culture and feminism if this is actually SUCCESSFUL?

My brother saw this and made cracks at my disgust with "Well this is for women, and if its what they want, then it works, right?" But really, is it a bad thing to ask for some standards?

Oh my god this is going to be terrible.

Put her side by side with Tori Black and tell an audience "One of these women is acting in a television series. The other is in a porno. Which one is which?"

The majority will guess wrong.

yeah but its usable in real situations. And doesn't make her look like a stripper. Her old costume is just a relic, and should of changed over time like all the other heroes.
I disagree, while some superheroes have had costume changes over time (i.e Flash and Green Lantern) Batman and Superman (DC's two most recognisable characters) have had very little change about their outfits over the years. If it can work for them I think it can work for Wonder Woman. Though perhaps on my part it could just be that I've never thought her traditional outfit made her look like a stripper.

Blue spandex tights isn't working. Too much blue in the costume. Granted, if they went with her wearing a bathing suit, that might be a little odd, although I think I'd like it better (no, not because she's showing more skin). Poor Wonder Woman simply can't find a good niche it seems like. I'm curious to see how this show does. Maybe if they changed the colors of her boots back to red the tights might work. I just can't get past all the blue...

hell even if they had made it look like armour it would have been better

Actually, I think either of those would have been a great alternative. I kinda like the new comic look (I'm not a comic reader, my main exposure to superheroes is TV and movies) as it actually looks like something you could fight in. And that second one looks waaaay better than the TV show. Is that a costume or something someone made for cos-play? Either way it is EPIC!

Seriously, if that is their costume, it looks weak. I've seen cos-play costumes far better than it in terms of quality. Looks like they ran to a costume shop. No, not even that good. Walmart.
its actually just a really detailed drawing. (i mean REALLY detailed). But that kind of "warrior woman" look feels like a better fit for the character IMO.
HOLY CRAP! That's a drawing!? Now that you mention it, I can see it, but just wow. Wish I was that talented at anything.

And I agree about the warrior woman look. Just saw a movie with her, Batman, and Superman, and she came off as this awesome warrior with super powers. She even had a sword (or was it a spear) and shield. Seemed like a real good Wonder Woman in my book.

This is how Wonder Woman should look. It the TV show and in the comics for that matter. Still iconic but looks like it's actually somewhat related to ancient greece.

EDIT: Shit, seriously ninja'd

I was expecting a more naturalist approach from David E. Kelley. Guess that wasn't the case.
i thought kelley walked off a while ago (feel free to prove me wrong). I swear i read that somewhere, and considering his incredibly poignant and adult views on the legal system put forth in his other shows you would think the would handle this better if it was him.
I looked around and couldn't find anything detailing his departure, but maybe I didn't do it well enough. All I know is that that suit looks fugly...save for the tatas, but other than that I'm left questioning why they didn't go with the darker color palette of the newer costume in the comics.

I wonder if they'll be taking a lighthearted and goofy tone to the lesbian bondage so rampant in the Wonder Woman stories. That could be fun.

but it seems like this is just blatant male fan-service with the over-accentuated boobage factor.
I suggest you look into the guy who created Wonder Woman in the first place. Who lived with his wife and her lesbian lover. And was not at all into sapphic bondage at all.

Not at all.
That sounds like an interesting relationship :O

But yeah, if that picture in the article was anything to go by, this isn't serious in the slightest. Her make up looks terrible and the outfit looks like something cheap bought at a crappy costume store for Halloween.

But those other two pictures I spotted a few posts above looked quite nice :D

Had they gone with the new costume from the comics I would have given them props, this however is just plain fanservice.

People, MovieBob did a whole show of "the big picture" on Wonderwoman, so I would check it out before even commenting on the overly sexual subtext, and nationalistic theme of the costume.

That being said, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! at he costume,I've seen better costumes at the Halloween store.

Okay. They definitely went with the wrong texture for that costume. It looks more like a "slutty Wonder Woman" Halloween costume than something any supposed crime fighter would wear. They could, and should, have gone with a matte material. This looks tacky.

Looks like they raided the fetish/bdsm section at the local sex shop. And they were on a short budget.

I know superhero costumes are hard to really nail, but this looks like they didn't even try.

Dear D.C.,

Please stop making things. The only exception is Batman; you may continue releasing all of the Batman material you want, as long as it remains in the capable hands of those currently working on the TV shows, movies, and video games. Thank you.
Uh, Watchmen, Sandman, (ah, let's cut to the chase:) the entire Vertigo imprint...

DC's published a lot of good material over the years. Blame WB for the shitty adaptations.
