I actually like the costume. It's a definite improvement over Wonder Woman's usual star-spangled hot pants. Not perfect (the boots need to be something besides blue to balance things out, but I couldn't tell you what, 'cause painting them red would make the bracers look odd as they're the only bits of silver, but silver boots would just look jarring, and I'd probably spend an hour screwing with it in the CoH costume maker and end up sticking her in power armor and calling it a day), but better than the either costume the "real" WW's been sporting lately.
Now, the show sounds like a horrific crime against common sense and the English language, but that's another subject.

It's shiny because it's not spandex. It's either vinyl or rubber. And yeah, the leggings going into the boots just looks silly, but I guess the original bloomers would have been too revealing.Tenmar said:
Personally, considering Wonder Woman's costume is supposed to be armor forged by Hephaestus, I was hoping for brushed metal, but I guess that goes against the whole super-hero motif.
I guess none of her enemies will be able to run away, well, at least her male enemies won't be able to run after getting a look at her.
See, if I'd seen that recolour first, I my initial reaction to the costume wouldn't have been raucous laughter. I mean, all the badly-fitting PVC still makes it look like a cheap costume out of a spoof porno, but it's not completely ridiculous.Inquisitor Slayde said:

Yeah. Nice tits. I don't really care about the show, but they are very nice breasts. I'm sure she's also a dignified and independent young woman, too.

For instance, if I had to boil down the Batman outfit to it's basic component, I would say the pointy ears on the mask, the fringed cape, and the bat inside a yellow oval on the chest.
For me, Wonder Woman's costume need the strapless bustier with either has a gold eagle or two W's that look kind of like an eagle, the headband/tiara thing, and the bracelets. Everything else is optional. I don't mind the long pants or the blue boots. I think the look works. I think it works better than the new look in the comics.
Strangely, the new comics costume is similar to the TV show one, except the colors are all darker because badasses always wear black. Morons. And there's that idiotic jacket thing. I don't know. I just prefer the TV show costume at this point.
As for the show's description, I remain hesitant. Being a TV show they probably can't do the big budget stunts and special effects. Hopefully there will be some decent super heroin' action. But that it will be light-hearted comedy has me worried. If they have some good writers who actually understand that comedy is not just lame one-liners, then it might work. But it might also be painful to watch if the writing is bad and writing bad comedy is exceptionally easy.
The direction they've chosen could work and may become a hit if enough people tune in and the writing is sharp enough. But it's a direction that smacks of laziness because only fools think comedy is easy. I'll watch the pilot but if it fails to work, then it's unlikely to pull itself together long enough to find an audience.
