Has to work on all of them, or it would be a waste of time. I am rolling with the chinese assault rifle most of the time, then combat shotgun, and laser rifle when this get rolling, but for small creatures I just hit them with a bat, nothin' like beatin' the crap out of a mole rat in v.a.t.s.

Also you don't want to even know how much I got stored in my megaton home. It is an armory of war. 20+Weapons, Ammo for all..Armor, Spare armor..Food..EVERYTHING. I even have a drug desk filled with all the wonderful things.
Make sure your limbs arn't hurt, Put points into your weapon of choices spot. Crouch before you go into VATS. Do not shoot the gun out of peoples hands because it destorys the weapons condition.jamesc said:

If you notice i lost 3/4 of my health two times.
Germantown PD that I am about to attack and rid of super mutants.
I got 300 rounds of 5.66 and a 60% repaired chinese assault rifle and 5 or so frag mines and 7 or so frag nades. Going to save before the attack though.
If its a Yao Guai then get to level 10 as quickly as possible. There be a perk named Animal Freind. Its so fucking useful against mole rats, Yao Guai, dogs and brahmin. I quickly used the magic powers of the quick reload button and this time i ran from him into a nearby lake. He lost me. I start dumping around mines and then i wemt after him, he takes the bait and it takes him seven...i repeat SEVEN MINES and 3 sniper shots to get it killed!
What are these things!?!
Also those mines I don't think gave the full damage, Because if your fast enough you can basicly run by them so it might have just took 3 sniper rounds.
Like I said, Get to level 10 and you won't have to worry about them ever again. Oh yeah just so you know if your quick with VATS I think you can shoot a grenade/rocket before it hits you destroying it.Richard Groovy Pants said:

Do quests. Thats about as best I could tell you. Leveling up science and lockpick are decent helps for gradual xp. But I would say take your chosen gun skill to 75 and then move lockpick and science to 50 as soon as possible.Richard Groovy Pants said:
