heavenly sword, the only game i will never finish.
I loved Heavenly Sword D:

For me, it's MotorStorm. Got past the first race and it was just... Bleh to me.
The sound track was tooo short, and the only metal song had a 1:10 chance of playing (I htink), among other complaints.

Call of duty 4, not because of the game play, but because every fps since has tried to copy it, especially the perk system

CoDBlOps. I simply did not enjoy any aspect of it whatsoever. Most other games which have disappointed me have had at least one redeeming feature beyond 'briefly distracting zombie mode which is vastly better than the main campaign'.

i play video games to get away from a harsh reality, not to have one worse them my own
Hey, Cousin. Let's go bowling?

I hate you stop calling already.

Ok, maybe another time.

I despise that friendship system of GTA4 and story wise it just sucks.

Shh! If we all pretend it never happened, maybe it'll go away!
But yeah, now that I've been reminded of that travesty again, might as well choose that as the worst game of this generation.

I'm sure there are ones that are worse gameplay-wise, or even with more atrocious stories, but few that are a part of such a generally good franchise.

What!! That game was crazy fun! It was like GTA -- the Fun a light-hearted version. You must have been playing it wrong something awful.
I think that a better choice would be Just Cause 2 if it came to fun and light hearted.

In recent history the worst game would have to be Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.
Number 1 was awesome but the sequel just made me give myself an uppercut at the end.

I see your point there. I originally played through one ending and didn't like it too much, so I went back to my save point and played through the other way... and didn't like that one either. Sad either way (trying not to spoil).

I still say Madden 09. A realistic game takes so damn long -- as long as a real football game. That's not a selling point to me. What happened to the fast countdown play clock or even the option to turn it on/off. What a steaming pile. I won't be back until they fix all the shit the broke from previous versions.

I'm gonna get badly flamed because of this, but Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The single player is actually enjoyable, I'll admit, but where the game falls apart and lights on fire is the multiplayer. Dear God. I have NEVER wasted that much time leveling up. You need OVER 100000 exp to level up from level 26 to 27! And the amount increases, from what I hear at least, I don't know because I'm not stupid enough to get to level 50. To make it even more insulting, each match will give 1000-3000, even 5000 if you're really good, but I'm not. In any other game I'd be max level by the time I level up once in BC2.

It was repetative. No wonder the raider was posing like that, if I was stuck in that world I would lose the will to live too.
Perfect explanation of the cover art! :)

I am not 100% sure of exactly which generation we are talking about here, whether it's any game on the latest consoles, or last 2-3 years. :S

If I am going to go with new-ish, I would have to say Naughty Bear. The marketing of this game was absolutely brilliant, but the game itself made me want to send my controller through my screen. Boring, repetitive, and just plain stupid.

luckily i haven't played many bad games thus far but i think stormrise would have to be my worst. Managed to play through the tutorial mission. Got to the main campaign and i honestly couldn't work out what the fuck was going on. The control mechanics were absolutely vomit inducing and after actually getting control of enough forces to scare a sparrow with brittle bone disease the game wouldn't tell where i needed to go or how to select more than one of the 20 squads at a time. Overall just an extremely bad game.

It actually makes sence that is takes that long to level up. The stuff that you unlock little has to do with your level (most of the stuff comes form the evolution of the class you use) so in that way you can understand for how long your enemy has beeing playing the game. You are not supposed to reach level 50 since you arent even rewarded. If it was easy to get there you would see a lot of guys with level 50, in this way the ones that are level 50 you know that they have been playing this game for a long time (it doesnt make them better players but at least you know that they dont suck).

Its more of a way to inform you if the enemy knows what he is doing. You arent supposed to get to level 50 to say that you reached the end of the game.

Okay.
My serious opinion would be mount & blade warband
Have you seen the graphics of that crap?
Even the SNES looks better than that. And the SNES didn't even have 3D!

You just named two of my favorites of this generation. I'm curious why you dislike Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

WAT noooo waiiiiiiiii

In my opinion:
Ninja Gaiden 2: I know throwaway plots are all the rage in hack and slash, but even this was pretty silly. Plus the gameplay just feels like button mashy crap and lots of jumping to avoid the rocket dudes and a whole bunch of other cheap dickery. I played the first one and beat it on Very Hard (didn't have the edition with Master Ninja) and it was definitely less cheap. Not the best combat system ever (Any DMC especially 3>>>>>NG) but a decent game.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust: Way to shit all over the original there.

Worst moment of this generation: Any CoD fan knows about Infinity Ward vs Treyarch, and this is no different. Tie between the utterly nonsensical "No Russian" airport massacre full of plot holes and cheese, and the face-smashingly embarassing Bay of Pigs re-enactment in Bloops, one of the USA's least proud moments turned into an tasteless, overly macho war-porn flick with a final hot lead money shot all over Castro's face.

Most importently, how can you consider top-sellers, with great quality, games to be the worst of a generation? Because, REALLY? How can Mass Effect, Dragon Age and BF:BC 2 be worst than:

-Vampire Rain
-Too Human
-Two Worlds
-Hour of Victory

Just to name a few.
In these cases it doesnt have anything to do with opinions, those games are JUST BAD in lots of ways, while ME,DA and BC2 may have things that you dont like but they are far away of being the worst.

Next time be more honest about your picks, dont just pick some games that you dont like.
