Age 15? Well, it looks like Pokemon is moving towards their characters fitting the people who play the games: people who are at least 18.

I'm pretty psyched for the fire pig. Would be a lot better than the last pig-themed Pokemon: Spoink... It's cute, but even its evolution is mediocre at best.

D'aaaawwww...

The only complaint I can see is that Nintendo might have been on crack while making them.

Hmm? I actually quite like this lot. I haven't kept up to know all the generations, but these seem like an outstanding addition. Much better than second generation as I recall.

Does anyone know if when they do the designs, do they first make the starters, or do they design the final evolved form first(e.g. Infernape, Swampert, etc) and then design the smaller forms based on what they become (e.g. chimchar, mudkip, etc)?

Wow, I might just jump on the "new generations are bad" bandwagon. I hate otters and I hate pigs. Well, the pig doesn't look that bad, but I can see where it's going:
"Fire Pig, Fire Pig, does whatever a Fire Pig does.
Can he swing from a web? No he can't; he's a pig.
Look out, it's the Fire Pig."

...sorry, but SOMEONE had to make that joke. :p
Yeah I guess you're right. You made my day saying that. They need to wrap up the series before they're forced to cancel it for running out of ideas and stagnating in the mid day heat out on the sidewalk of main stream media...both the games and the TV series. Unless they go into the territory of the spirit world with, like, zombie pokemon or something it's just inevitable.

I said they were running out of ideas for new Pokemon a long time ago and you all laughed at me! All of you!

And I thought Platinum had bad starter pokemon...

Shame on me for actually getting my hopes up about the Pokemon design.
If you don't like a giant spiked turtle with a land mass on its back.
That sounds like a mix between Blastoise and the fully evolved Grass type starter Pokemon from Gold/Silver.
ALL HAIL THE GREAT A'TUIN!

Meh, all 3 of them look fine, but 2 of them look like the "Girly" type of pokemon (The Grass and the Water). I am sick of pokemon who are meant to be Girly, what happened to the Asexuality of the Starters? (Seriously, look at the original drawings of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle and tell me that they look like they're only meant for guys or for girls)

Well, pokemon has always been slowly running out of ideas for new monsters. The girl's hairdo is WIERD, I mean what has she done to it? And the boy... if it is a boy... well, at least they seem to be older.

While the fire/grass starters are cool/cute, the water one is... well... it's just bad.

Awww.. so cute, but I dunno on a scale from fave to least fave it would be Grass, Water then Fire. Simply because I like Grass and Water first but on the 'looks' department.. yeah.. that otter is screwed. I sure hope their evolutions look 'okay' unlike Piplup. I would have replaced the otters mouth with something like a cat's the '3' look to it would have made it look so much cuter and I don't get the freckles myself but oh well.

This honestly is true with a pic I saw, the further pokemon gets the further it gets away from cool starters. Seriously did saturday morning cartoons hop out through the TV one day and become pokemon?
