Yeah, that looks like it's gonna suck balls, but that's not what pissed me off about it. My biggest problem is that it doesn't even get the history of the Titanic right!
I know I probably shouldn't expect historical accuracy in a film like this, but seriously, it's the fucking Titanic! How do you get that wrong? First of all, they imply that the original Titanic was and American ship, when actually it was built in Liverpool. Secondly, if it's following the same course as the original, then it wouldn't leave from America. It'd sail to America, sure, but it wouldn't leave from there. Thirdly, someone in the trailer states that "the SS Titanic 2 needs help..." or something along those lines which I'm sure brakes some sort of ship-naming rule. If it has a different prefix thing (HMS, SS, RMS etc.) then surely it can't be called the Titanic 2? Logically it should be "SS Titanic" in this film, with the prefix being enough to differentiate it from the 1912 version.
Ugh. Who knew that a low budget trailer like that could get me so worked up?
