Hmm you know i didnt expect this at all. Cant say im surprised considering his over all health and life style. If true this will be big news.

This is more or less what I was about to say. Of all the celebrities who could have died, I wouldn't have expected Michael Jackson. Then again, it isn't really a big surprise.

i was never a huge fan, but i must care to some extent to post on a forum about him. it is a little hard to believe, but sadly, he turned into the neighbourhood creep, so i don't have a lot of sympathy

What I'm saying is they were both in a serious situation, both had a considerable amount of evidence against them, both had a shit load of cash at the time and both came out clean. In my opinion I think that both are guilty of said accusations against them, and they simply used there fame and wealth to buy their innocents.

Man, the media snapped up this one lightning quick. It's 7pm PST now, and apparently nobody even knew he was in trouble before about 12:21pm PST, but he's was up on all the sites within minutes of complications being detected.

Honestly, I find it surprising he's getting so much attention. For the most part, he was well out of the limelight, a star of the 80s or early 90s. Late 2000, the main reporters really interested in him were the paparazzi. Yet, he dies, and boom: front page CNN. Seems a tad weird.

It is a little interesting he went so young - at 50. I'm kinda surprised they couldn't snap him out of it. So many people die of heart problems in the States that we're actually quite good at treating it, and I'm sure he was able to afford the best care. Thus, some abnormalities were probably involved, such as drug use (if not recently then over the years) or maybe fallout from all the plastic surgery he's been through.

Well, frankly, his death is just another celeb death to me. I wasn't alive when he was all the craze.

Still, I'm sure he's going to be missed.

I'm afraid that I'm too young to have been there while he was at the top of his game, so I can't say that his passing affects me as much as it would do to one of his die-hard fans. However, I have liked what little of his work I've heard, and as a cultural icon, it's going to be almost impossible to find someone to fill the Michael-Jackson-shaped hole in the universe, though do we really want to?

I feel more concerned towards his immediate family, who (as has been previously said) are going to suffer one hell of an attack from the media.

On a lighter note, at least we've always got Moonwalker to celebrate both sides of his life, and it's a pity that we'll never see that new move he was reported to be creating.

He did do some good songs, but that stopped when he made the Bad album. Guy shoulda known when to call it quits, and learn how to grow old gracefully. Instead he went into denial, which got him into trouble with children, and then just got plain ugly. I care for people, but I have to make a real effort to feel some loss here. Now Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon, may they rest in peace, and they will be missed.
