Thing is, if you live there, then it'd be a completely rational fear. If you live outside of their habitat then it is an irrational fear. I actually used to be terribly afraid of mosquitoes when I lived in Japan, far more than the killer hornets of those tiny little mamushi snakes (although none are truly as dangerous a threat as losing your ID card).KiloFox said:oh i feel ya man.. (luckily that THING only lives in Japan from what i know...) i accidentally "discovered" a wasps nest under the gazebo table of my grandma's place when i was about 6... i kicked the nest apparently... bastards chased me all the way to the front door...ThatLankyBastard said:This... this bundle of badass right here is the reason I am staying on the opposite side of the globe...KiloFox said:Bees, Wasps, Hornets...
name one rational person who would want to deal with this thing...![]()
When i was a small child I put on a bike helmet that had an orgy of hornets in it, and so I got dozens of stings all over my head, face, neck and even in my ears and up my nose...
... and I have never felt safe during spring or summer since then...
I wouldn't call it irrational, but it sure as hell is a fear!
It's just as heights are a rational fear unless youre of the rare persuasion such that heights not great enough to cause injury or death scare you.
