The only time I ever got far enough to get a Masterball was on Silver, and I caught Suicune with it, so I don't feel it was really "wasted". One time, however, my friend let his little brother play one of his Pokemon games, and his brother caught a Ditto with his Masterball.

Always MewTwo. I think the only other creatures I've used one on (just talking first gen) has been MissingNo and ... I think I might have wasted it on a Tengela at some point.

I never waste- I'm hoarding all of them, trading them up gens, replaying sapphire, waiting until they pull a "Whoops, we changed all the formulas! Can't trade up to this latest gen guys!". I now have about 37.

When that day comes... Oh, I will catch ALL of the fucking pokemon.

Same here i quickly realised that a 100% capture rate on a pokeball was going to be a rare thing and knew about mewtwo due to the cartoons.So i just left it till the battle with mewtwo.

Well, I got my Zapdos with the masterball but people tell me "that's a waste" or something along those lines. I thought legendary pokemon were the more desirable pokemon so that's what I used it on. UNLESS, there is something else even better? (No really, was there a pokemon I should have used the Masterball on rather than Zapdos?)

I used Masterball only on pokemons who could escape (latios/latias, 3 dogs/cats whatever from 2nd generation). Never used it on Legendaries such as Kyogre or Groundon, it would be a waste since you can catch 'em with ultraball.

I wasted it on grounden in emerald, and then I caught rayquazza(I have no idea how to spell that) with a regular 10 minutes later.

In Platinum I used it on Mesprit.
You see I was able to capture Giratina with a ultra ball so I still got a Master Ball. I was planning to give that to one of my rare Pokemon to trade over GTS for another rare pokemon I don't have. However when I heard about Black and White I intend to transfer all of my Pokemon over. In Platinmum I haven't caught Mespirt and I gave up for trading a Pokemon holding the Master Ball over GTS so I used it on Mespirt (I got easily annoy that it keep running away and I had no high level Pokemon to make it fall alseep).

Mine went to an Articuno. I liked Articuno for some reason.
That said I never had much problem catching the legendary pokemon, iirc I used to have a relatively weak pokemon and pokemon with sleep/paralyze abilities to make it easier...

in pokemon I think I wasted it on that big yellow bird that is in the cover of the game (can't remenber the name =P) and later I found lugia and I facepalmed, in pokemon emerald my friends told me to use it on rayquaza but I forgot and captured him with a greatball and I think I still have my master ball waiting
