My 360 did die after 6 years while in 2009 I got a fat PS3 that I use to this day. I could write very positive things about my Xbox One X and I'm glad I have one. This gen Xbox has a huge challenge now. My focus is on PC gaming. Game streaming is becoming more and more a thing (Until mid 2000s I was using Net Zero dialup. Today, I have wireless streaming 4K movies in my house: things keep improving). I watched a video about the Samsung Odyssey Arc, on my radar for Q1 of 2024, where the host advises you don't need a system, just stream onto it. I use a 360 controller on my desktop and can have an Xbox experience without one.
The PS5 offers one major thing in this new gen: when properly programmed for it, the controller with its haptic feedback offers a new experience. I'll have to see if one can have that same experience with a PS5 controller.
EDIT: Sounds like it can be done but will not be quite like playing on a PS5 and is not plug and play. 3rd Party apps typically required but sounds like some games will work out of the box. Interesting. Maybe just buy that controller for that experience. $70 for the controller rather than $500ish for the whole thing.
