What Race Do You Use In Skyrim? [And Why]

I use the Khajit (though oddly, for a thief race, I specialise in two-handed weapons and sword and shield styles and prefer close combat to stealth or ranged combat) though I'd be just as happy to play as an Argonian.

The reasons for this are as follows:

1) Cats are lovable and Lizards are cool.

2) Playing as a human when you can play as so many other races is boring. I do enough of that in real life. Also I feel it helps with the role-playing aspect when you play a non-human character.

3) Elves and Orcs are kinda cool but they're pretty standard RPG races. Sometimes it's ice to give the alternative a try.

Wood Elf. Because I practice archery in real life and wanted to sneak through the forest using my bow.

I turned into an epic mage that conjures an epic Daedra Bow with 100 arrows every 2 minutes to shoot down my enemies.

A Nord, because they're basically fantasy Vikings/Celtics/Norsemen. That's Awesome.
My secondary race is Dark Elves. I can't stand the stuck-up proud High Elfs. And the short Wood Elves, while respectable, are just too vanilla for me and they're short.
I like TES's version of Dark Elves the best. They're twisted and bitter, but still able to function with other races of the world scale without being melodramatic or emo, or drizzt.

Nord Battle Mage. I don't know if it' s a good build since my sneak isn't that great and so I end up spamming flames at everything. but as soon as I find the Dark Brotherhood I think I can train it up hopefully.

Dark Elves. They're not as fast as Khajiit or Wood Elves (the two fastest), but they mix stealth, one-handed weapons, and magic together.
They don't need to be stealthy, stealth abilities also count toward light armor and speech. And they have an affinity with destruction magic, among others, so they make good spellswords or assassins.
Also, their racial power calls out ancestral flames that burn anyone around them. Kinda like the Flame Dragon ninpo.
Seems like they where made to suit your preferences, sir.

1st Khajiit assassin double daggers and light armor, cause I can..

2nd Nord Heavy armor, 2HW and Bow, forget sneaking, though I've already died more times with the nord than the Khajiit, and I'm barely level 10 with nord and level 49 with Khajiit.

Ah, why thank you my good man, also it's kinda cool someone calling me sir when I'm only 17. MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A PROPER GROWN UP LIKE!1111!! (sorry). Just one question, I thought the elves were racist wankers, or is that just the Thalmor or the Aldmeri Dominion or the High Elves or all of the above. I don't know much, and if someone does answer this please try not to spoil, aren't the elves a bunch of evil tyrant fucks, or just some?

In a game focused on the Nordic homeland, I couldn't bring myself to play anything other than a Nord. It's my preference anyway, but the game's premise reinforces it.

As for combat, I use a sword in one hand and a Destruction spell in the other. Got some Restoration magic on my Favorites list. My spell selection will probably broaden as I play more.
