Well done moron, you just exposed yourself to trillions of dollars in liability lawsuits for skin cancer.

actually if we're going to act serious, we can't sue her for global warming, thats negligence on our part. it would be harmless otherwise. like not putting caging around our flowers and suing the slugs when they eat our petunias.

If it isn't subject to regular international laws, then her claim means nix legally anyway. At least that's what I've told myself to keep me from kicking something at this particular piece of legal trolling.

Also possession is nine-tenths of the law, and let's just say that I wouldn't want to be holding a property that "hot" when people actually start to care about it.

All the countries of the world are probably worth less. This is like an ant believing it owns Canada.

The question that comes to mind is, how would such a claim be enforced? Assuming the loopholes can be used for making a valid claim, I hereby claim the space between celestial objects! I believe this woman now owes me money for providing the means of transporting her sunlight and heat to the rest of the solar system.

This may in fact have been the stupidest thing i've heard about all day. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go claim Uranus so I can start charging people whenever they make stupid jokes about it.

no no no. you see, if she were to charge people for using her sun then they would have to use the SUN. not the byproducts of such. if a horse shits in front of me then i can claim ownership of the shit and do whatever the hell i want with it.

Ha! Awesome ;D

She's an idiot and most likely bat-shit crazy (good slice of the megalomaniacal in there as you can tell), but good on her.

The world needs more aberrant thinkers. No matter how bat-shit crazy they are.

Too many people take things as written. Never questioning laws ... I mean you can say she's an idiot for saying she owns the Sun, but I say 50% of the world are idiots for saying that some creation deit/ies/y/ made the Heavens and the Earth.

How is her claim any different from all the dickheads out there clutching their religious scripture?

Anyways ... as I said ... the Universe belongs to Man :D

It's right that we think of it in terms of owning it, rather than as a 'gift' or some Divine creation that should be respected beyond the utilitarian purpose of it providing life and power. It's there ... let's make it ours. I like this woman's way of thinking, no matter how deluded.

.... cough Yeah well.. good luck with that

Whats she goona do now? if we refuse to pay whats she gonna do stop the sun keeping us warm and basically alive ?

Hmmm lets all leave our brains at the door and think like she does, suing her incase we get sunburnt or damaged eyes because the sun looked at us.

Although it will look pretty snazzy on her gravestone
"owner of the sun"

Man shes dumb, and its hilarious.

Kind of makes you wish that the law had a "Pure Idiocy clause"

Where, if the judge deems a given case (or law) as absolutely ridiculous, then he has the right to revoke it under his own judgment.

SHOTGUN DOUBLE-DIBS PLUTO!
Hey, I want SOMETHING from space.
Don't worry, I'm not suing/claiming payment from anyone.
But, before I go on, does anyone want to make sure their nuclear base has been moved from here?
If it isn't, I'm taking that too.
And any other things you left on there.

So can anyone who got skin cancer sue her then? How about the pain I got from the sunburn last summer? Or what about people with droughts?
