So, so, so overused it has lost its status as a good quote

It was never a good quote to start with, since there is a cake.

One for me would be at the ending of MGS4, with Liquid Ocelot "You're pretty good!" It may just be me, but after such an awesome fight sequence why end it like that?

The only reason they did it was because of the nostalgia (He did it after the fight with him in MGS1 and in MGS3[It might have been done in MGS2, I'm not sure]).

It still felt incredibly forced. In MGS is was cool, in MGS 3 is was extremely cool (as you said, nostalgia), in MGS 4 is was shoved in there and just made me think "Again? Really?"

Well, if you would lock your damn door then mario wouldn't have to save you now would he? Or maybe get some useful bodyguards instead of those walking mushrooms that don't do anything. After so many times of hearing it in that high pitched voice it gets annoying.

Oh, and better yet put a moat around that castle since Bowser apparently can't swim and Mario can fly.

I can't remember exactly the context...but I'm reminded of the Alone in the Dark game for the PSX where the "Supercilious bad-ass action girl" as Yahtzee might want to call her remarked about losing her jacket or something to a monster. The main character then remarked "Maybe he thought it matched his hair."

One that stick out in my mind is from Devil May Cry, the infamous "I should have been the one to fill YOUR DARK SOUL WITH LIiIiiiIGGggHHhHTT!!"

And not so much a bad line, as crap delivery. Final Fantasy 10 "But I wanted to see them........withYunabymyside." Just.......weird. Skipping the whole laughing scene too, btw. I just cringe every time.

I honestly think the line in MGS4 was almost required. So yeah, it was kind of forced, but really, what else does Ocelot say when you beat him? It was fitting.

It also served to aid the GIANT RETCON that revolved around Liquids arm.
