Well, the enemy coming into the house from another direction was never a problem for me, claymores and bullets usually got the job done.ToastiestZombie said:I don't go in the middle, that's what I was saying. Everyone else does, so the spawns flip and the enemy team can come kill me from behind.BaronUberstein said:W..why would you go into the middle? I stay in the houses with the FN FAL and play on Hardcore mode. Nobody is getting into house, I kill them in 1 or two hits.ToastiestZombie said:I played on PC also. But it's the fact that unlike most maps, learning the map is bloody easy. I nearly always died by a grenade as soon as I got into the middle area. And the spawns were just terrible for me, since I normally just played random servers that looked good at the time. Since nobody would ever just stay on there side and shoot over, they would always go further than the bus and swap the spawns, then I who had stayed on the other side would get my ass handed to me.BaronUberstein said:Erm, map knowledge is how I do WELL on that map. I know exactly where to go to get early kills depending on what side I spawn on, how to avoid grenades thrown into the buildings. Well, I used too, I haven't reinstalled blackops. <__<ToastiestZombie said:Yeah, that map does have a lot of mixed opinions. I think another reason is because pretty much all map knowledge and skill goes out the window, it's a giant clusterfuck.BaronUberstein said:Nuketown is the best map in that game...it's fairly well balanced and the size was never a problem for me.ToastiestZombie said:Simple question, what in your opinion is the absolute worst map of all time. It can be from any game, as long as it's from multiplayer. So no water temples or Halo 3 flood levels in here.
As for me, I really, REALLY hate Nuketown from Black Ops. It was simply terrible, with it being incredibly small it meant there was a TON of grenade spam and it made for an overall crap time.
Idk, it never seemed to be a clusterfuck to me. I play on PC if that changes anything.![]()
I believe you are talking about Underpass?Darren716 said:I forgot the name but the map in MW2 that takes place in a South American village and there's a canal going through the middle, be prepared to get sniped at every possible angle from every person on the enemy team the second you come out of hiding.
Morgana? In Ranked? The only reason she'd ever be allowed into Ranked is if someone dropped the ball and didn't permaban her. Same with Kassadin.NameIsRobertPaulson said:People love NukeTown because it's one of the few maps where a player can have fun with little skill. Play on a huge map, and some sniper or dude with an M16 is gonna go 27-2 on you all day because he's better. On NukeTown everyone is dangerous equally. Breaks up the monotony.geK0 said:Ninja'd by the OP!ToastiestZombie said:I really, REALLY hate Nuketown from Black Ops.
Putting 12 players in a map as small as Nuketown is like putting a dozen light bulbs in a small grocery bag and shaking it! Everyone is going to die so many times because no matter where you are, somebody is coming at one of your sides with a shotty, or you might just be fragged by one of the grenades raining from the sky!
The worst part is that Nuketown seems to be the most popular map! EVERYONE votes for it! but you get one of the nice large maps and people vote against it! *RAAAGE*
but since that one is already taken......
The SNES ghost stage in Mario Kart Wii; It's so short that if you're hit by anything you pretty much have NO chance of ever catching up, and when you're high rank in that game, you lose about 10 races worth of points (assuming first place every time) for coming in last due to a blue shell on that map.
Dominion isn't that bad. High mobility champs are as important as tanky ones, though AP Bursters do get the shaft. I enjoy Karthus and Miss Fortune on dominion. Beats playing ranked these days. Oh look, an enemy team comp of Graves, Soraka, Morgana, Vorick, and Lee Sin... how original. The Wykydtron said:2fort in TF2. The one where you cap the intelligence. Could never stand the layout of that map, it's either Snipers owning your face, Spies being in your spawn or Pyros just being dicks in general.
Also the Dominion map in League of Legends. It's just a circle with 5 capture points on the outside! Not good!
Plus only tanky DPS Champions are viable in that mode, AP bursty casters who only have one round of cooldowns before having to dip out of the fight and supports have no place there.
*enemy team picks Darius*
GG
But at least Evelynn is half viable in that mode, Backdoor Evelynn OP.
OT: I really don't like Gravel Pit in Team Fortress 2. Few ways that map goes fun. Either a steam roll or a lockout, neither a good clean battle.
I know it isn't that mad, but for the record that map sucks too. I looked it up and it's called Rundown.FirstToStrike said:I believe you are talking about Underpass?Darren716 said:I forgot the name but the map in MW2 that takes place in a South American village and there's a canal going through the middle, be prepared to get sniped at every possible angle from every person on the enemy team the second you come out of hiding.
I think it's safer to just flat out say that CTF sucks, no matter what game we are playing.Hungry Donner said:Turbine in TF2, narrowly edging ahead of 2fort.

Worst map ever
But it was easy to counter their snipers: there were ways across the map that would totally avoid the eyes of the snipers (assuming they were in any of the logical sniper positions for the map). So long as it is easy enough to counter, a sniper map is a fine thing to have.FirstToStrike said:And Overgrown from CoD4 sucks, because EVERYBODY SNIPED.
I hate roofers in Revelations as well. I'll stalk my target for about a minute and a half and be ready to get an 800+ points kill and then the next thing I know I have an Ottoman Jester on top of me, a sword in my throat, and a message on the screen that says "some random douchebag killed you for 100 points". If I get somebody sprinting around on the rooftops as a target, I'll kill a civilian. My time does not need to be wasted because xXxQuIkSsSsCoPz69420xXx has an irrational fear of his feet touching the same ground as the mere commoners.GeneralTwinkle said:Snip
I loved Rust because it was basically just an insane clusterfuck. Though granted if your more of a competitive gamer who cares about his/her kill ratio I can understand why one would hate this map. The fact that its so small means that if there is one guy in front of you then there are going to three guys behind you getting ready to cap your unsuspecting ass. I love using the chopper or AC130 on that level though granted its the opposite if you are on the receiving end. Once tried to call a truce when an AC130 showed up but that obviously didn't work out.Suki_ said:I guess I would have to say pick any Battlefield map and it will due. Every single one I played seems specifically designed to hamper one side. This makes the games horribly unbalanced and really it stops being fun.
Why the hell do you have to pick my favourite maps. Rust was so much fun and probably one of the best maps in MW2. It was also hilarious when you called in an AC130 or chopper gunner on it.ForgottenPr0digy said:Rust in Modern War 2
