That's because it's a terrible browser. Personally, I'm using the internet browser in the Steam cloud to read this while I'm waiting to respawn in Left 4 Dead 2.

But I do remember a time when that "e" was synonymous with "internet." And I don't miss those days, either, because that was when "internet" meant "dial-up."

Go GO GO FireFox for da Win...its the best IMO...I sometimes rake up 20 tabs on the thing and it doesn't faze it at all.

Screw them. They lost all sympathy after the whole mid-90s Netscape debacle.

I use Firefox. It is much better than IE. IE was so slow when we had it, but Firefox is fast. :)

Chrome here, Internet Explorer betrayed me long ago. No matter how many times he comes to my door in the rain to bring me flowers, I will never let him in.

Opera, for several years now. Hands down far better than Firefox, or any other browser for that matter. I still do use Firefox at times.

I used to use Internet Explore, but I use Firefox now.

I've never gotten an error message saying "Firefox is not responding", which is great because I ALWAYS got those when I used Internet Explorer.

Firefox. Though it's having a bit of a flash problem recently, which is annoying. Might give Chrome a try, since people keep raving about it.

Yeah but I still use all three browsers for simple reasons.

Chrome: public surfing

Firefox: private surfing

Internet explorer: Applying for employment. You will be surprised how many companies both private and public only accept end users to use IE.
Funny, I use that same set up. I use firefox for... my private surfing, then I use CCleaner to nuke firefox of all data.

I use IE. It comes pre-loaded with windows, so I don't feel the need to download another one, and it has all the functionality I want out of a browser.

Also, my work is half done online, and they only support IE.

It'd be even less if there weren't various factors that FORCE people into using it. EG just for myself, software installation policies that pretty much ban having any other browser (except maybe loophole-skirting editions of chrome) unless you can sweet-talk the sysadmins into putting it on an image; or on an own-desk workstation, where FFx is the default, it getting hit by a group policy that bans facebook and youtube even during lunchhour.

So I end up having to use intershit explotrash. How can something get to version 8 (which, an obligate XP-a-naut, I'm limited to) and still have so much in the way of performance, security and memory issues?

Tried firefox, it broke more things than it fixed, missing features that should be standard. I might try chrome.
