The Search Bar. It's so unused, and so useful...

OK, seriously (since I've never participated in such a thread) my games are Mischief Makers for the N64, Martian Gothic: Unification for the PS1, and Another World for the PC.

The first, you can grab and throw almost anything, including good guys, and there's just so much fun to be had with the weird Japanese characters. Oh yeah, and you can catch missiles and throw them back. Awesome!

The second, Martian Gothic, is one of those games that is really hard to play, like the first Resident Evil game in space, only with a more intelligent storyline bursting with the best from every major sci-fi writer. Plus, 99% of the game is voice-acted. No boring text logs here!

The third is just a fuckin' masterpiece, and if you haven't played it yet you should. It inspired ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, for one thing, and is available for a very cheap purchase on the game designer's website. Give a master some support!
What is it?

Psychonauts and Metal Arms Glitch in the System. Absolutely awesome dialogue in Metal arms. Also love the originality of Psychonauts.

Fire Emblem. Ya it's more of a series but the entire thing needs more love. At least it needs to be recognized for its amazing story telling skills.
I agree. Other unappreciated gems: Pikmin, the entire "Tales" series, Battalion Wars.

It's a game with no dialogue in the style of the first Prince of Persia game (1989) or Pitfall. A young scientist arrives on a strange planet through a scientific mishap with no hope of returning to Earth. You have to survive the strange flora and fauna of the planet, as well as strange humanoid aliens with an advanced society and laser weapons. It defies description, though. The demo can be downloaded for free off the website.

I don't have a favourite unapprecuated video game. I have a genre, Japanese Style RPG's. Being in Australia we hardly get these games and they barely sell here. I wish I had the money to import these games from the USA but I would also need a U.S Xbox 360 and modding one would get my XBL account banned. Sucks to live in the PAL region!

Most recently, Brutal Legend. I got that game the day it came out, after seeing the first trailer for it a year and a half before, all my friends said they would buy it, but it would appear nobody dead. Yeah, its got a short story, but the whole thing before and after that makes up for it.

Terranigma for the Snes, I just never heard anyone talk about that game and it's weird because it's and awesome RPG, I think is better than Final Fantasy 6 and I love Final Fantasy 6

System shock (and 2) and Narbacular Drop. Seriously, the things I'd love to do to all the "bioshock/portal are so original and innovative"....

The bards tale
A game with a sarcastic hero that don't want to save the world but is forced to it. it's funny as hell to play and it has a great story. The best part is that you can choose to not fight the final boss and just go to the nearest bar.

Modern Warfare 2, it's definitely not appreciated here.

On a more serious note, Road Trip for the PS2. It was a fun open world driving game with a lot of customization.

I would have to say Project Snowblind. Sad thing is that i only borrowed it from my friend who couldn't beat it and haven't played it in years.

Target Earth for the Sega Genesis. Side scrolling mecha platformer. First game of that era on consoles where I noticed npc allies. It was extremely challenging.
