When I was about 12. I don't remember where I found it, but the idea was that if you look very hard you would see a stereoscopic image. There is actually an image, but as soon as you get it in focus... "ARGH!" A dead guy pops and screams for about 2 minutes.

Result: one very shaky cross eyed 12 year old.

It was an executable program called "McDonald's.exe" that my sister's friend sent her over AIM. The fucked up thing was it warned that "It might be hard to hear, so turn up your volume."

You also had to ctrl+alt+del to turn it off. It returned every five minutes.

Well, I am one of those people who has not experienced what you're talking about. I know because I have no idea what you're talking about. I cam onto this thread thinking it was about sex. On that note, that kind of screamer is awesome.

From reading other posts on this thread, I think I have experienced this before. My mom sent me an e-mail saying 'focus on this picture real hard, and after a minute you'll see something really cool. i expcted something to happen, so I only jumped a little bit when it turned into a gif of a guy screaming, accompanied by really loud sound - of a guy screaming. Didn't shock me that much.

Mine was that car advert one. I think it claims there's a ghost or something in the ad and as the car rounds the bend it disappears and then you get the screamer.

There was a car and a countryside... cant remember the product though... Not a good advert in that sense, makes you remember everything except what they were selling.

It was some beer. The tagline was "you've never been so awake" if I remember rightly. There was also a second one with a guy meditating in a garden.

Mine was on a flash website called liquidgeneration. They had this topic called Sabotage with lots of screamers and other pranks you could send to friends after seeing them yourself. One of their best was a video with Sean Connery talking about his role as James Bond played softly, forcing you to turn the volume up. Then suddenly, the word PORNO flashes in the screen with funny music and several women moaning in ecstacy.

Ahhh, Liquid Generation. So many memories of scaring the pants off myself and anyone I could sucker into watching them with me.

I think my first one was about M.C.Escher. It showed different pics, and was describing them, all soothing like, them, a bloody zombie with a high pitched scream. I thought I was going to stroke out.

I hate screamers because things suppost to startle make me scared that it might be right behind me but don't look now cause that would piss it off! At the beginning of most of my childhood my brother would drag me to the computer at night and say find the 10 things wrong with this picture QUICK. As in 20 seconds. I have a freaking phobia of those things now

Thing is now whenever I see a suspicious video on the internet I fast-forward to check in case...hooray screamer-paranoia.

Yeah, I get so nervous about those things now, that if it's some sort of picture puzzle, or anything you have to focus on, I right click it and select view picture to make sure it's not a gif, or flash, or a java applet. I'm not paranoid....no siree.... nope....
