I was like that with Fire Emblem: Radient Dawn until I traded it in... however my current "I'll get back to it" game is Professor Layton and the Lost Future. The puzzles no longer appeal to me after playing the first two games.
Grinding doesn't bother me since I can do that for hours. I've heard those complaints about the gameplay and storytelling, but that doesn't really tell me anything other than personal choice. I'd much rather hear an opinion about that game from someone who is actually enjoying it since that game has elements in it that I actually like.Guykild said:I've done the first three chapters of each character. It's slow going, and it's mainly reading rather than cut scenes and voice acting, but it's really pleasant to look at, and the combat is relatively deep. There's a lot of grinding available too if that tickles your fancy - its definitely one of the main reasons it's taking me so long to get anywhere, as I have a horrible addiction to any form of monotonous grinding.Fiz_The_Toaster said:I've been meaning to pick it up, and I haven't heard too much about it. Is it any good?Guykild said:Folklore is my main one. And thinking about it, the main reason is because has no trophies, so I feel less of a push to get through it, as none of my friends will know of my achievement, which is a shame, because I've really enjoyed what I've played of it so far.
But to summarise, yes, it's a good game if you don't mind what some people would see as rather antiquated gameplay and storytelling.
yes, you can. Also, you'll know the final boss battle is coming the second you get a certain announcement from Joker, and at that point, you'll have everything you need to get all the Riddler stuffStBishop said:Arkham Asylum.
I've been meaning to finish it for ages, but I feel like I'm missing out if I don't fins all of the Riddlers things.
I am concerned that I'll reach a point in the story where I can't go back for the things I've missed. It'd be good if you were able to go through all of Arkham once you have completed it.
Can you?
Ah yes, that sucked to get into.MetalDooley said:Never played the PS2 version so I don't know how they compare but to be honest it was just one particular moment that bugged me rather than the controls in general.I had to make a plant grow by drawing circles on it in order to reach the next part of a dungeon. After spending about 20 mins on a task that should have taken about 10 secs while the game repeatedly refused to recognise the circles I drew I just said "fuck it" and quitrokkolpo said:I actually prefer Wii over Playstation.MetalDooley said:The Wii edition of Okami. The controls just annoyed me so I stopped playing.Keep meaning to go back to it though as apart from the controls it was pretty enjoyable
