Spot on as usual. Paradise felt like a step backwards from Revenge. In Revenge the point was to crash into others rather than finish a race first, or at least that's how I played it.

Burnout has always been mildly entertaining for me, he touched on all the points that turned me off Paradise, which is why I am playing Guild Wars: Eye of the North out the arse to get enough stuff so my person in Guild Wars 2 doesn't feel left out.

Other than that, good review. oh and GO META KNIGHT!!!!!!!

what about the use of advertisments in the game?
no matter how many twists and turns on the streets with all those cars zipping by,you can see those burger king banners as clear as day.

This review is shitty, I think this maybe the point where Yahtzee's leap of fame takes a nose dive into shittyness, I thought this was going too happen when the Assassin's Creed review came out but he redeemed himself with silent hill origins cod4 and SMG. Feels like he is searching too hard for jokes and making vague points about nothingness. If this carries on im going to lose faith and take my fickle arse elsewhere.
Most people seem to disagree with you on the degree of shitty that this review possesses. What are your gripes exactly?

Wow no SSBB this week? what a surprise....
btw Gaming Macht Frei was unbelievably hilarious!
How so? He live's here in Australia. You Americans may have brawl, but we don't even have a release date. At all. I hear rumours for a Q1 09 release here. So you'll just have to wait like us for his review. SUFFER. SUUUUUUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEEEERRRR.

Excellent work Yahtzee, been watching your reviews for months now, I look forwards to the new one every wednesday, and so far you havent disappointed. The Guitar Heroes 3 review was particularly funny (Im not gay), and the Resident Evil one was just pure comedy gold. This most recent installment was great, and admittedly, most of the things you said about it are totally true and arent really exaggerated. I cant wait to see your next review, altho im hoping you do a good rip into World of Warcraft or something like that soon, even though you hate the games.

May I suggest the following titles for review: Earthbound (SNES), Bully (XBOX360), Vib Ribbon (PSX), Pandemonium 1 + 2 (PSX), Spyro and Crash Bandicoot series (Multi Platform comedy gold right there), Star Wars Galaxies (PC-Online), Tony Hawks Underground (360), Twilight Princess (Wii), Guild Wars (PC-Online), SEGA NiGHTS (Wii and Saturn).

Out of all of them, I would most like to see you have a stab at NiGHTS, cause its a great game but so weird its got to be ridiculed!

Keep up the absolutely incredible work man, and I must say im totally jealous of your job, I work for an insurance company with a media production degree so good work for me there... (sarcasm off).

Looking forwards to your next vid matey ^^

All I care about is that you've made me remember the Devotchkas! I was trying to remember they're name last week as I'm getting a Mohawk for World's Greatest Shave and was trying to explain this one all girl punk band that had the craziest hair I'd ever seen but couldn't remember the name.

Cheers for the memory jog!

Wow, Q1 2009... perhaps you are suffering rather than me.

Oh no, you're going to lose your faith in him. I'm sure "He", the great one, and all his disciples will be shattered.

...But then again, it has always been about crashing hysterically into walls, cars and other things, and the reason why it didn't show any pedestrians was to keep it's T/PG-13 mark

And, I would have liked to see a rerview of Ace Combat 6 (Because there are good bits, alongside bad bits, which makes it reviewable, I guess)

again a review of a game i wouldnt even look twice at, but still made me laugh. i think some people are missing the point of yahtzees 'reviews'. its not ment to be an actual 'review' like hes writing up a report to the FTC or parliment. its just an average person with an above average ability to say what the majority of people feel but are unable to put into words.

his talent lies not in his ability to say what we are thinking, but rather to say what we are feeling. as an actual 'reviewer' he sucks. he lacks detail unless a given detail is used as a way to produce humor, he lacks a standord 'scoring' system of any kind and about 20 other things that a 'real reviewer' uses. instead he explanes the 'taste' your left with after playing the game. somthing that is MUCH more valuable in my opinion than reading a spread sheet about a game by paid shills whome are more or less required to give good reviews even to totaly shitty games due to the fact that they do it to make money.

i dont care about the details of a game so much as the over all 'experiance' it gives you, thats something yahtzee does and does well so if you arent looking for that then look someplace elese, lord knows its not like the net has a lack of opinions. instead of commenting about how much you DONT agree with him, you should perhaps spend about 8 seconds looking at any of the other 6.8 billion game opinion sights on the net till you find one that is more to your tastes.

making snide comments about someones opinion being wrong is truly stupid. and yes i am fully aware of the ironic nature of that statment *smirks*

Very funny, I hate games that break flow like that.

I think all the "cool" kids already have real "cool" cars to race. I don't understand why they build those kind of cars anyways, there is a speed limit and cops to enforce it. ohhh such a waste

poor Yahtzee doesn't get Brawl yet, but then again when it gets released in Australia...

PREPARE FOR THE PLEATING LAMBS!!!

I laughed a lot, but this is the first review in which you're flat out lying, Yahtzee. Sure, the game has the minimap, but it doesn't RELY on it - look at the top of the screen, where the compass points out EXACTLY which direction the end of each race is. Hell, it even indicates which is the next turn off to get to the end - I've never once paused the game to look at the map during the race. So either you missed the details, or you're retarded.

Great review even though he did remind me of how much I miss Carmagaeddon all of a sudden...(why it won't work on XP without divine intervention+1 is beyond me).

Anyway, still gonna get Burnout: Paradise cause it looks sweet either way...

I prefer just breaking shit in Burnout, mostly because I find races to be trivial and frustrating, it's a good way to relieve stress after a long day of bullshit.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to play more SSBB.

i like burnout with a passion. I love the racing. I love the music. I hated in burnout takedown where that physics stuff happens too.
