Yeah, I totally got that feeling from the demo. The opening narration starts up, and I instantly assume I'm playing a black character, for what I think would be the first time in a WWII game, but then NOPE! Generic white guy.Stabby Joe said:Also for some reason I think the white protagonists sounds black (if that makes sense).
Yeah well while the Disney Princesses may be hot they aren't worth risking further scars to my brain for.Terramax said:You've never lived.canadamus_prime said:Um... well I don't.trollpwner said:Frankly, who doesn't? Scarecrow 8 said:Great review as always, but I do want to point out that there was a difference between German soldiers and nazis. Most soldiers were consripted, and a lot followed the nazis because...they had no choice besides to flee. And most of said soldiers in the final days of the war were teenagers and old people, forced to be the last line of defence. So it's not excatly as guilt free as you first might think.
That's why I've never liked games that have the slow motion kill effect. It goes beyond the quick, silly level of violence and just makes it unpleasent to watch. Do I want to know I'm hurting my enemy? Yes. Do I want to watch his organs explode to leave him screaming and dying in the street, all done in loving slow motion like some porn movie? No, not really.Corporal Yakob said:Scarecrow 8 said:Great review as always, but I do want to point out that there was a difference between German soldiers and nazis. Especially when players are gloating over their perfect liver shot that leaves a terrified 15 year old German conscript slowly bleeding to death, the Panzerfaust he's been given just a week ago and expected to stop the Red Army with just out of reach.
At one point in the game I recall sneaking around near some soldiers who were talking. One of them says something about wondering if he'll have a home to go to once the war was over considering how trashed Berlin was. For some reason or another after hearing that I decided that I would spare him and made every attempt to get around him and his buddy without alerting them.Scarecrow 8 said:That's why I've never liked games that have the slow motion kill effect. I find myself doing that in some games. Sucks sometimes they don't even give you the choice to avoid killing enemies. I mean, if you give them dialog like that, why make us kill them, unless you're going for the "War is Hell" angle. But if that were so, why all the slow motion "cum shot" views?ColaWarVeteran said:At one point in the game I recall sneaking around near some soldiers who were talking.
