Not internet speak. It just requires having visited any other part of this website.144 said:...ElArabDeMagnifico said:Lock this, it's just freaking chaotic, go back to zombie role play in OT!

Halo fanboys are game-jocks, SSBB fanboys are game-nerds. Both are pretty immature, but I'd have to go with jocks as more annoying, and nerds as more defensive.144 said:No, he definitely had some justifying statements in the review; "maybe I'm approaching this the wrong way, maybe...etc." Granted, that led to his rant about Sonic, but that's what he does. There is some truth to the maturity statement, but not in the way it was read by most people I imagine. If Xbox targets the "beer-drinking frat boy demographic," then the players are too busy attempting to make themselves look manly in the face of their friends (and a good way to do that is to engage in a bloody shootout) than reading online forums about their favorite video games, which, frankly, decreases the manly/cool/whatever reputation significantly. Most of the Halo friends I have fall into the above category (nothing wrong with that, so don't hurt me), whereas most of the SSB friends I have aren't too heavy into the drinking and such, and can sit around arguing in nerdy forums like this one without hurting their reputation too much, if at all. I hope, for my sake.
Heh. I'd agree with that.Simon_TR said:Halo fanboys are game-jocks, SSBB fanboys are game-nerds. The average "I love you Yahtzee. I want your children"... so, about 6 pages.HalfShadow said:How long do you think this topic'd be with all the Nintard bile removed?
Nope. If you only come to The Escapist for Yahtzee, then you really don't need to know what this means.144 said:You couldn't just tell me?
i would say both are equally easy to bait, but SSBB fans are more involved in actual defense, whereas the average Halo fanboy argues like he plays the game, short bursts, in pairs and for the sheer thrill of the experience, rather than the end result.Crowbites said:835 posts. That's gotta be a record for this forum or something. I guess this proves it, Nintendo fanboys are easier to bait than Xbox fanboys. Or maybe it's just that Yahtzee has been around for a bit longer now.
Maybe it was just some smart marketing dude that said "ZP is going to be about smash bros so we can get enorm add revenues out of the thousands forum thread hits ^^"nightmare_gorilla said:my biggest problem with yahtzee's review was it seemed so forced, like he really didn't want to do it and honestly i don't think he should've been asked to, anyone who's seen even one ZP review could probably guess his opinion on this game and forcing him to review it is like making a republican watch brokeback mountain, sparks will fly and someone's head will inevitably explode.
the thing is smashbros is indeed intended for nintendo fans, and since... what maybe 10% (if i'm being generous) of the escapist readers actually tolerate nintendo much less like them. i think this was a fairly predictable outcome
but hey now i'm rooting for this thread maybe if we really turn up the flames we could make this the longest thread ever on the escapist.
